We are the ultimate social raiding guild. Although we aim at progressive raiding, this is not our main goal. At shadow Union we aim to build friendships and enjoy our time online, after all this is what we pay for. Majority of our members are long time wow friends and IRL friends and family.
We are a mature guild, but this does not mean we have a strict over 18 policy. We treat every application thoroughly and fairly. We recruit players more than we recruit toons. In other words our decisions are based more on the person behind the keyboard than the character they are playing. We believe a person can obtain gear, can learn to raid, but cannot learn "attitude". We raid progression raids Monday - Thursday, and do fun social runs over weekends. Our raid times are 20h30 - 23h30 / 00h00. This gives parents etc. time to feed kids and put em to bed etc. Social "fun runs" are not set to the normal raid times, and are scheduled on calender, or randomly run according to who we have online. Raiding is not compulsary, though if you sign up to a team, we would expect you to adhere to that specific teams raid times. We do not schedule progressive raids on weekends as this is time to spend with family and IRL friends, though we generally always do have people online.
