Topic (Sticky) Roleplay guilds and communities on SWC
However, I've asked for two specific bits of information.
Do you accept beginners?
Do you accept people outside of the guild to join your roleplaying events?
Also, last I checked on the guild finder it said you required a minimum of 1500 arena rating of your applicants.
I would really like you to add another channel to the list. Acherus
Its a channel made by death knights, for death knights. Its there to create random RP and events that suits death knights, rather than hang around old town which is bad.
Its purely OOC but may be used to give IC infomation later on.
Its also there to give or take advice for other death knight RPers.

We accept beginners aslong they wish to listen, learn and improve.
We also accept outsiders to join our events.
Name: Kingdom of Lordaeron
Theme: Retaking the kingdom of Lordaeron from the Forsaken and the remnants of the scourge.
OOC: We are a band of survivors looking to build an army to reclaim Lordaeron from the Forsaken and the Scourge. We have different divisions for most styles of Roleplay, including civilian RP. We hold events fairly regularly, and theres normally at least one of us available for Random Roleplay. We are a heavy Roleplay guild, but very relaxed OOC. We are fairly popular within the Roleplay community, and are growing steadily.
Restrictions: All members must have some connection with Lordaeron IC (For example, a direct survivor, or a descendant of someone from Lordaeron) No night elves or Draenei. No openly evil IC characters.
Contact: Whisper Allantrius (Leader) or Dementuim (IC name: Lyam)
We accept beginners as long as they are willing to improve their RP and accept advice given to them. We also request that they at least know the basic lore of Lordaeron before joining us.
We allow outsiders to join our events if they are friends of people in the guild.
Update for the Crimson Sun Brigade. Couple of things I forgot in my original post.
We can be hired IC to attend other players' or groups'/guilds' events as extra hands or security.
We are trying to be as faction neutral as possible, meaning we accept contracts from both the Alliance and the Horde so long as they don't ask we take direct action in the Horde/Alliance war. Unfortunately, game mechanics prevent us from recruiting Alliance races.
The Arcane Sanctum, a guild whose purpose is to revive RP and bring power to the sorcerors of the Horde.
Cataloging and researching every spell, artifact, and magic item that we may procure or come upon.
Allow people to have a greater understanding of their own powers, skills and capacities.
We hold debates, lessons and expeditions, aswell as we might support allied guilds.
Any class and any race, despite the non-arcane classes must be experienced intellectuals or wardens. Level 20+.
The Society of Arcanists, Community. With channel!
Theme; Mage and Magic based roleplay. Teaching, expeditions, research. Anything that mages do, in a mage tower.
OOC Information; No level requirement as such, but the base is Morthawkes Tower in Westfall. Phased as part of a questline, so having completed the questline is essential.
To Join the RP; Drop your head in the channel! /join Arcanists. Events will be planned soon, and once the Tower is open, you can drop by for random RP anytime.
Over a month ago I changed the format slightly on the front page.
*le sigh* I should've checked this thread earlier. ><
Yes, that is more or less correct. We do currently have two in-guild RP events on hold, considering that a major player in them did take a break from the game, but most of our RP is done randomly. We do not have a problem with people from outside the guild appearing in our RP events, as we had a non-guildie in one RP event in a minor role. We do not require RP interview to be conducted in order to enter the guild, however, if said player wants to RP as a member of the guild, it will have to be done at least in some form. That's speaking on a general level. We do hold the attitude that if you want RP in the guild to happen, make it happen; don't wait for it to appear on its own.
I believe that about sums it up...

Hey, just to say that Dravius is no longer in the guild and hence no longer a recruitment officer.
I think his place has been taken by Razorne.
Theme: Criminal guild/community, solely committing acts of theft, large and small. Has an actual guild-like structure.
OOC information: The group can be found primarily in Stormwind, which will be expanded eventually. We mainly have random RP, but there are events that are being worked on as we speak. We'll RP with other thieves so long as they fit the guild requirements, (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2226275854), and welcome thieves to join both the guild and community.
To join: You must be willing to adhere to our IC rules to join and stay as a member. We have no level requirements, just that 'Law'. The people to contact are myself (Arlam), Danfarth, or in a rare case, Sílvérmane.
We do accept non-guild members to what events we may have, so long as they've been approved to be one of our thieves! Or, on the other hand, we welcome all and any to come to us to organise events with us to be antagonists for you, or to play a part in your RP.
We are not inclined to take people who are new to RP.

Name: Children of Kalimdor
Theme: Casual RP guild consisting of Draenei, Worgen and Kaldorei (Other races may apply, but must have a valid IC reason and be judged in the IC interview). The guild is aiming to aid Kalimdor and her people by delivering supplies, offering guidance, cleansing corruption etc. The guild will NOT have a political opinion or take parts in battles and skirmishes other than to defend itself. Think "Red Cross" theme.
To join: We will require an OOC interview to check your knowledges, and then an IC interview to check your characters abilities and mindset and to determine if your character is suitable to join. To set up a meeting and an interview just contact Khardoril or any officer (will be added later), then take it from there. IC-ly the guild's put our word among the Kaldorei, so gossip might be picked up.
Who can join: the guild will arrange events, but outsiders might be able to join. This depends on the event, but we're open minded. Just whisper and discuss. We won't bite... I think.
Restrictions: Lvl 30+, we expect basic knowledge of RP and Kaldorei. No "evil dooers" will be accepted.
Website: None, sorry.
Contact: Whisper or mail Khardoril.
Name: The Unseen Vigil
Theme: A roleplaying guild for casual players. The guild is an organisation based on acquiring information and artifacts for clients, often in a shady way. Though tolerated within the Horde and allied with it in a sense, the guild takes no part in its battles or political agenda. We are only out to serve ourselves.
Events: The guild is hireable by other players / guilds for missions to perform, which will then be turned into guild events. Lacking that, missions will be made up. Outsiders may join our events, if there is a proper reason and role for them.
To join: Once contacted, we will have an OOC chat with the potential member, after which an IC interview can be arranged.
Restrictions: We have no class or level restrictions. We do expect potential members to have basic knowledge of roleplay and the Warcraft universe, though we are willing to teach beginners.
Contacts: Calrys/Larynne (leader), Nadash/Shankley, Kichi
