You made me level Inscription again!
|
I and my friend recently created characters here. When we reached level 25 it was time to look at getting some glyphs.
I had heard that making gold with inscription would be difficult, but instead I see basic glyphs at 25-50g. There was only one solution, make an alt simply to make glyphs. Inscription is still a good way to make gold at low level apparently even if you buy your herbs on the AH. Well done folks you made more competition in the market place. |

I and my friend recently created characters here. When we reached level 25 it was time to look at getting some glyphs. Only reason glyphs got expensive at this time is because you are not able to exchange Ink of the Sea for any other lower ink you desire or need to create glyphs. After new patch Ink of the Sea exchange got replaced by new high lvl Cataclysm ink. |

The price for low level glyphs is crazy unless you have help you won't have that kind of gold. My lv 44 mage could do with help I should grind herbalism and inscription for him and make my own.

Oh well I guess I should thank those greedy scribes for showing me how to make 1k gold in one week with a new character.
Almost level 20 now so I can get above 150 inscription, though strangely it is the glyphs made with Midnight ink that sell the best and make the most profit. |

I spent a while on Saturday gathering herbs and i've been able to create some basic glyphs and my mage has made around 80g from it in a couple of days so it's a big help it does take a long time so the prices are fair for now I think I do try to go a bit lower than the lowest shown on the auction to make sure I get a sale.

It shouldn't really take too long to level in my experience, just playing on my scibe for under an hour a day has taken me to 220 Inscription in 2 weeks, just starting to craft some glyphs with Celestial Inks which is further than I usually get with this profession. I'll have to level from 20 to 35 now though before I can get above 225. I do still find a few glyphs on the AH at the 100+ gold price. |

On my proper character now :)
I try to sell my glyphs cheaper than the cheapest of it's type on the house when I add it, Not by much though :p. I've made a few hundred g from it in the past week so it's clearly working, Once I get in to outland i'll start making plenty of gold anyway from selling quest reward junk and hopefully more glyph money as I need outland herbs to carry on leveling my inscription. |

Inscription is definitely a huge moneymaker.
However, indeed, when starting on a new realm (or at least, without any resources) it is literally hell to get any glyphs because you pay Cataclysm prices for them. Try to pay that as a new toon. Hence I've been forced to create a DK and level up some inscription before playing on on the new main, which gets increasingly frustrating. Give back the old glyph prices already! T_T |
