So as the question:
On reccomended specs (found near cataclysm digital download) it was writen that recommended free hdd space is 25 gigs. Is it really that much for an up to date (4.0.3a) player?
Im wondering about it because when 4.0.1 hit and that 5 gig patch downloaded it needed 25 gigs of space already.
So is it a new patch that also requires 25 gigs, or is it the exact same one as we already downloaded and is intended for new wow players?
If it is then what would be the actual size needed for 4.0.3a wow player?
Currently the game sits at around 25,5GB of space, though i'm not sure if the game will automatically adjust the cache size based on harddrive space.
Without the cache the game is about 16-17GB in size.
Edit: They'll also save around 2GB of space when/if they delete the data from the pre-shattering world.

So, is it safe to think, that the free space needed spec is free space needed for WHOLE/COMPLETE and updated Cataclysm client (plus, it includes the space required for instalation/extraction process)?
Atleast for now yes.
But i can't be completely certain that they have all the data preloaded already, there might be additional space required for another cataclysm preload.
