- We are looking mainly for 2-3 melees now - One more tank might be helpful as well Imperial Alliance has been founded on 13th february 2005 and is therefore one of the longest lasting guilds on Bloodhoof. During that time, we - as most of the guilds - had our ups and downs. Since we consider ourselves more of a family than a guild, we were able to overcome even the biggest obstacles in our way. Our guildmaster is Magnificent and has been that from the start of the guild. I have been the #2 in command ever since. With Mag having some serious problems in real life, I am currently temporary GM of IA until he is able to play again. We raided almost since the start of Vanilla and we never stopped raiding. Over time, quite some people came and went, but I am proud to say, that we still have quite some oldschoolers (like me) in the guild - the realm's only Scarab Lady Fensi being one of them. We opened recruitment and are in the search of raiders, who are interested in joining a well-established raiding guild and in accompanying us in our raids. Details for the needed classes are always in the first part of this post. In Cataclysm, are raiding 3 days from 19:45 (grouping) to 23:30. Our raid days are: Wednesday, Thursday and Monday. We are a 25man raid guild (I still miss the 40 man raids) - 10mans are purely self-organized and by no means mandatory and won't happen in current progression content. Of those 3 days, I expect a raider to be available for at least 2 of the 3 days. And in advance: You can play as good as you want, as long as you don't fit our "ARP-protocol" (Availability, Reliability, Preparation), then you don't even match the basic needs of being a raider. So, if you think that preparation of a fight is a waste of time, if you think that it's fine to go afk to walk the dog, if you think that the "sign-in" button for a raid is a button to spam-click without thinking, then don't bother to apply - you will be wasting your and our time. quantity over quality. 4 raid days, thats a lot. Four days of raiding is still three days away from hardcore. :-) |

Melee
IA’s melee team is strong in skill, but currently lacking slightly in numbers enough to cause some discomfort, and so we look to bolster our ranks with 2-3 very solid players. The classes we are currently looking for to fill these slots are: Death Knight Rogue Enhancement Shaman Retribution Paladin Exceptional applications will of course be considered as well What we are looking for is someone who can play with their head, someone who can adapt to different situations and learn new bosses/tactics without confusion. Each and every player in the team should be able to take on any responsibility given to them by a raid leader, whether it be interrupting or add control etc. Communication is key to a successful team, so the ability to listen and react to TS is also a must. To crunch it down into one word, we’re looking for someone who is competent. If you believe you fill the quota, as well as what Marveillius has posted above, please post your application form on the forums An application to the raid team will be reviewed by myself and inhuman, and if deemed appropriate, you shall be invited for a trial period where we will watch and test you to see if you can back up what your application presents.
