Hi there,

So I've just picked up my level 30 Rogue again, which was levelled from the granting system of RAF (Yeah I know, bad idea), and so I don't really have the experience from 1-30.

Having said this I have played a rogue before, and I know their basic mechanics.

So, does anyone have any tips on talents?(in subtlety tree)/rotation? or even just general pointers?

Cheers

While leveling, I would go Combat, purely for Blade Flurry's ability to take out groups. As far as I remember, that was the only AOE we had before Fan of Knives.

Combat has loads of survivability and mad-energy regen so no downtime basically, which would serve you well as you level.

One tip I was given (if you go Sub) is to get the Glyph of Hemo. It will bleed the target and work perfect with Sanguinary Vein's 10% damage buff. Saves your CP from Garotte and Rupture and lets you Ea, Evisc and Recup.

Cheers for the tips.

What about poisons? Which ones should I use and on which hand?

Typically it's instant and deadly for all specs. However, depending on how fast things die, wound may be better for combat and sub

I found that while lvling stuff dies very fast, so I never used anything else than double instant poison

Maybe a woud poison is handy, way higher proc-chance in combat spec than instant poison and handy if you're on a pvp server or coming across mobs who r healing themselves.

Indeed

ShS + Ambush + Hemo x 2 = dead mob and 5cp
5 point Recuperate = no down time

premed->cheap shot->hemo->eviscerate = dead mob and no need for a recuperate :D

even less down time since premed is on 30 sec, and shs is on 1 minute.

that only after you get premeditation ofc, but it works like a charm - just sap the other mob, and maybe blind a third, use disarm/evasion and you will keep damage to yourself minimal (and recuperate helps here).

Also with improved stealth and faster stealth movement, you can just cut to the chase (pun intended) and only take out the mobs that interest you, avoiding all other fights - faster quest completion which more than makes up for the xp not gained from not killing those mobs.
