After downloading the 5GB 4.0.0 patch and it begins to update my old patches it gets to 69% "creaturedisplayextra-15591.blp" then it will crash my entire laptop, i've tried three times now and the problem is still there
anyone got any ideas on how to fix this? i'd add a screenshot but sadly i cant since i have to reboot everytime |

If thats a bluescreen error, and has something with a specific file, these indicates a hardware problem. Probably your pc had shutdown directly due to electricity or some way like that. So, the reader head of your hard disk comes to that place, it just crashes with a blue screen. You can move your files to somewhere else except that file and start the downloader again.
If not a bluescreen error, sorry. This is all I can do for ya 'mon. |

it doesnt blue screen it litarally freezes nothing moves and i've tried 4 times now and its constantly happening on the same %

I'm not getting any error messages pretty much its crashing my entire laptop so i have to reboot. theres no error messages or anything, but i've tried downloading 4 times now always crashes on ""creaturedisplayextra-15591.blp" even the repair is crashing my laptop now

You don't say which operating system you use, but I've found that with Vista and Win7 it's best to run the game as administrator whenever you're patching. It's worth a shot, though not running as admin shouldn't crash your whole computer when the patcher fails.
