We want World of Warcraft in italian!
|
|
I'm sick of seeing new language translations of WoW isolated from the world and that the Italian, despite the myriad of Italian people in the game, has not yet been used to translate WoW. Greet people when you enter a dungeon is easy, read the characteristics of a power by using a translator is feasible, but the fact of not understanding the history of this, the talk of the NPCs and articles on the site is really degrading. Not everyone can speak English, and WoW if you can not understand fully loses its charm. Blizzard needs to understand that we are not 4 cats and we want WoW in Italian. If you agree on the translation of the game say it. Comment by giving your approval, so Blizzard would understand the advantage that, by translating the game in Italian, and finally listen to us.

You do realise just how much work this would entail? And given that Italian is not really that widely spoken as a first language the cost-benefit balance would not really be a favourable one. Yes, I can see your point of view, and understand your frustration, but you have to realise that doing this would involve translating the entire game, setting up a new server, hiring Italian-speaking staff both in-game and support staff, all for what is really a small minority of the game's population.

Italian people don't speak english as well. I think that have not an italian translation is better. The most part of what i know in english i've learned on online games. Translate a quest or understand a spell is not impossible... Italian school is not good on english so wow is a good way to learn the language.
I'm sorry if my english is not very correct.. but i'm italian :P ps: Power Word: Shield (like most other spell) in italian sounds very ugly... Parola di Potere: Scudo.. -.- |

I prefer to play WOW in english...
But i would like some italian official servers... |

"myriad of Italian people in the game"
What exactly makes you think that the whole "myriad" would move there? Italians on other realms seems to be quite happy with being there. Why not trying to learn Comm...ops, English? Which is nowadays "common" by the way? :) And claiming a translation only because of 2 "italian" realms, where almost every english speaking player left because people are unpolite and start to insult them immediately...is a bit pretentious. As Asfaltø said, WoW would be awful translated in italian, think about "The Big Mace of the Gorilla" or something along those lines. Would be unsafe. Lol. |

wow lol a "myriad of Italian people in the game"
Go and tell that to Norway users, Swe users, more than italians... oh I forgot, they actually speak english. Best suggestion for you m8? Learn english and accept that the game is not translated in italian, and possibly will never be |

I'd never play this game if it were in italian.
Who would like pallies to spam "Luce Santa"? Who would like the shaman to use "Desiderio di sangue"? I wouldn't. And TBH, Italian is a very minor language. They really don't care. |

I hope it will never happen.
Nowadays WoW is one of the main source to make our "lazy-boys" to learn english BTW i'd never like to see items like "La forza inarrestabile" "Spada della perdizione" etc... XD |

An Italian server? Hahah. No way.

i am an italian player and here s my point of view:
italian WoW? dont be silly, do u really think italian player should migrate in a server with such a bad reputation? again dont be silly, i d rather quit wow instead of coming here, the population seems to be made of arrugant idiot who can t just attempt to speak english? myriad of italian? for the third time, dont be silly as stated above i actually love playing on Emerald dream, Italian guild? just 1, but the population in there is lovely (talkin about the english and the italian population) stop complaining and learn a language which is spoken all over the world Eny |

wow lol a "myriad of Italian people in the game" Haha i really don't think so.. Nor and Swe people are together about 14 million, Italians are about 60 million -quote http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_and_dependent_territories_in_Europe_by_population -. For more: I think the fourth most spoken language in europe - quote http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union#Languages - is worthy to note. I prefer, however, continue to play this game in the language in which it was developed, but i understand that someone, for the reasons listed above and below, does not agree with me. Please note that: 1. there are Italians not only on crushridge and Hakkar 2. not only Italians speak italian 3. italian language is the fourth most spoken language in europe (more than spanish) 4. if it had been available in Italian from the beginning, they would surely make a lot more money - but it's too late now- . |

I think you'll find there's a world of difference between having SOME Italian-speaking staff and having an entire DEPARTMENT of Italian speaking staff. |
|
|
You are right. Perhaps it would be too expensive, but there is no reason to deny the possibility. |
