Druids harness the vast powers of nature to preserve balance and protect life. With experience, druids can unleash nature’s raw energy against their enemies, raining celestial fury on them from a great distance, binding them with enchanted vines, or ensnaring them in unrelenting cyclones.

Druids can also direct this power to heal wounds and restore life to fallen allies. They are deeply in tune with the animal spirits of Azeroth.

As master shapeshifters, druids can take on the forms of a variety of beasts, morphing into a bear, cat, storm crow, or sea lion with ease. This flexibility allows them to fill different roles during their adventures, tearing enemies to shreds one minute and surveying the battlefield from the sky the next. These keepers of the natural order are among the most versatile heroes in Azeroth, and they must be prepared to adjust to new challenges on a moment’s notice.

Druid Information

Druids are versatile combatants, in that they can fulfill nearly every role – healing, tanking, and damage dealing. It’s critical that druids tailor the form they choose to the situation, as each form bears a specific purpose.

  • Type Tank, Healer, Ranged Magic Damage Dealer, Melee Damage Dealer
  • Standard Bars Health, Mana, Rage, Energy
  • Available Armor Cloth, Leather
  • Available Weapons Daggers, Fist Weapons, One-Handed Maces, Polearms, Staves, Two-Handed Maces
Druid Talents

Druid talents focus on improving the powers of their natural and animal forms, enhancing their ability to summon forth natural phenomena, or increase the potency of their life-giving healing magic.

Druid Features
Versatility

Druids’ changing forms let them assume different roles and focus on either tanking, healing, or damage. They can also shapeshift to travel faster on land, sea, and air.

Healing

By calling upon the powers of nature, druids are able to swiftly restore health to their injured allies.

Defense

When shapeshifted into their bear form, druids possess a thick skin and imposing presence that makes them ideal front-line protectors of weaker party members.

Melee and ranged damage

Druids can take on the form of a savage cat in order to claw and bite their enemies up close, or that of a wild moonkin to blast enemies from afar.

@Tenbears and Evilnight:
Aye to that. Though you can't ignore the new effects around Tree form. When you see one of 'm on your BG, you just know ganking the people near it will be a terrible pain. More dmg, greatly improved healing. Instant roots? Sick imo x) Could have put all those effects into another spell though, and leave treeform the way it was.
Could call the buff Blossom, and make the tree-form's leafs turn pink-ish and bright. Don't like it that my tree form can't get his staff on his back btw =( Just hangs there, sticking through my back.

@Skeyf: I would recommend PVP. The PVP gear is a lot easier to farm, especially when you leech around while prowling. Just stand near a large fight and move around a little so it looks like you're picking a target and no one will even complain.
You might have to jump in every now and then to get the damage done up a little. If everything is on 0 you kinda stand out ;P
It's a cheap way to take adventage of other people though, which is kinda lame to do. But it would be the easiest way.
When you get your PVP set together your dps will be high enough to spam dungeons too, hell I even tank in my pvp gear. The Resilience is a bit useless, but in the end, it has the same agi as any other leather gear of the same iLevel ;) And with dungeons/raids you'll get other stuff fast enough anyway.
I'd even recommend taking the PVP gear and tanking through heroics. Instant queues, and the dps have been waiting for an hour for you to tank, so they won't dare to complain.

Good luck ;)

@Moonaty: You can do this with any of your Class Trainers. Just talk to one of them and choose to unlearn your current talent points. It will cost a small fee the first time you do it and especially at lower levels. Then you can choose the Restoration talent tree, which is ace for 5-man instances as you are levelling, and very helpful in battlegrounds as there is often a lack of healers.

@Moonaty: Dual spec is not available until you hit level 30 though. So, in the meantime, you would need to unlearn your talents by wisiting your class trainer in order to change talent trees.

WTF! The new troll flight form must be a joke. OK it looks more "Troll-ish" but it is so ugly that I don´t wan´t to finish lvling. I just stopped at 81 and I don´t think I will finish just because they look so silly. Don´t know if I should cry or laugh.

@Zultakh:I hear you Zultakh, but you can always have a class change if you don't like our new ace troll-some flight form. /squeak /squeak
To be hones I didn't mind it, I now think it's quite "cute 'mon" in a troll-ish kind of way - but I did think it was a bug at first. I thought someone had changed me with one of the Halloween wands. The only thing which I didn't like is that the wings beat a lot slower - and it kind of feels like you fly slower, too.

You seriously need to buff balance druids so that they are better in PvP and especially in Arenas. Balance druids rely mainly on castable spells that take some time. Well these spells can we interrupted almost by every class in the game! So it's quite hard to deal a lethal amount of damage in Arena matches without being interrupted all the time and being useless that way.

@Voodochile: for pvp? prowl, pounce, rake, rip, mangle, mangle, ferocious bite
pve: there is shred spec and ferocious bite spec, if shred spec (which is better now) rake, mangle, mangle, rip... then just rotate, dont forget other buffs, savage roar etc... but never get rip fall down and use it on 5 combos
