Paladin
This is the call of the paladin: to protect the weak, to bring justice to the unjust, and to vanquish evil from the darkest corners of the world. These holy warriors are equipped with plate armor so they can confront the toughest of foes, and the blessing of the Light allows them to heal wounds and, in some cases, even restore life to the dead.
Ready to serve, paladins can defend their allies with sword and shield, or they can wield massive two-handed weapons against their enemies. The Light grants paladins additional power against the undead and demons, ensuring that these profane beings corrupt the world no longer.
Paladins are not only zealots, but also guardians of the righteous, and they bestow blessings on those the Light would shine upon. The Light radiates from paladins, and worthy allies who stand near them are emboldened by its power.
Paladins stand directly in front of their enemies, relying on heavy armor and healing in order to survive incoming attacks. Whether with massive shields or crushing two-handed weapons, Paladins are able to keep claws and swords from their weaker fellows – or they use healing magic to ensure that they remain on their feet.
- Type Tank, Healer, Melee Damage Dealer
- Standard Bars Health, Mana
- Available Armor Cloth, Mail, Leather, Plate, Shields
- Available Weapons One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Polearms, Two-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Maces, Two-Handed Swords
Paladin talents increase their ability to heal the wounded, strengthen their capacity to protect their companions, and allow them to deal out vicious damage in the name of justice.
Stalwart paladins are trained to use the heaviest armor and shields, and can utilize their skill to ensure that enemies focus on them, defending weaker members of their group.
Paladins charge their weapons with holy might, allowing them to deal additional damage with their strikes.
As champions of order, paladins are extremely potent in a group – their auras, blessings and seals can improve damage and survivability for both themselves and their party.
Paladins’ potent healing abilities can ensure that they and their allies remain in fighting shape.

compared too other tanks paladins have several ways of playing tank, and though people don't think so paladins are the best selfhealing tanks atm, i know some people will argue with this but its true. DK's do indeed have SIC selfheal but because of the resource system they will only have it for burst, paladins have a good alround selfheal if they choose too. (i did over 2 mill healing done on zon'ozz HC)
paladins also have a high threat amount on single targets and will be easy too tank with because of the cencure Dot that we apply with using the right seal. this will ensure that for the time we have cencure dot up, we cant practically loose aggro on that target, also using out shield and hammer aoe spells we can easily keep aoe aggro as well, but because we barely do aggro with consecration compared too DK's D&D many pallies with low-moderate gear will find it annoying too aoe tank.
the downside is our low dodge/parry chanse, we compensate this with a very high block chanse and a good selfheal (if wanted/required) also pallies have good raid spells too reduce party dmg with 25% for a short amount of time, or a single target spell that transfer 30% of the dmg taked frrom a friendly target too the tank, quite usefull sometimes, even better combined with immunity shield

no matter what forum you go on there will be a debate wheter retri paladins is useless or just insane op. and in matter of fact they are both. retri pallies dps take some time too build up because we need too stack a total of 6 holy powers too really gain dps, less ofc if we are lucky with procs. so while other classes nuke right on from the start paladins usually take some time too build up. unless you blow every CD at the begining. now unlike many classes paladins main CD's are on 2 minutes, with one exeption wich is on 5 minutes. meaning, we can nuke every 2 minutes the reason for this is that paladins have very low dps without using cooldowns. dont believe me? try dps without using zealotery and avenging wrath.
another thing is that many people think that paladins are too much alike warriors, in some ways we are but once you really start too play them, you will see that compared too warriors paladins will get higher dps penality from doing mistakes.
i have a 85 warrior as well and no, they are not the same too play.
Holy: got this as a third spec, normally dont use it allot but i got it just in case 392 ILVL
as holy paladins you will notice one difference compared too almost every other healer in game... we don't have HOTs (healing over time spells) if you dont count holy radiance. so while others use HOTs too keep their target alive while throwing a heavy heal on their target, pallies cant do that. on the pluss side we have 3 things that makes pallies very playable as healers
1. holy beacon, wich heals tha target of that spell for 50% of any direct heal used. and some other things
2. word of glory, using our holy power we can use a heavy heal wich is free too cast and instant cast, but consumes your holy powers, with tallent it dont always consume them.(cheers)
3. our guardian of ancient kings, wich duplicate the spell, and heal all party members in a certain range for 10% of the total ammount healed.
and ofc the trademark for pallies no matter the spec is lay on hands, wich heals for 100% of the casters HP. and divine shield, wich is the only spell in game that grants immunity against everything (mages ice block can be dispelled or broken)
we also have a whole lot more spells and abilities, but it is too much for me too care too drag out here.
ps, no i dont do allot of pvp so cant really say too much about it.
pps, if there is any pallies that wonder about anything then feel free too ask
ppps, sorry for my bad typing, im both norwegian and dyslectican:
