Priests are devoted to the spiritual, and express their unwavering faith by serving the people. For millennia they have left behind the confines of their temples and the comfort of their shrines so they can support their allies in war-torn lands. In the midst of terrible conflict, no hero questions the value of the priestly orders.

These masters of the healing arts keep their companions fighting far beyond their normal capacities with an array of restorative powers and blessings. The divine forces at the priest’s command can also be turned against foes, smiting them with holy fury.

As light cannot exist without darkness, and darkness without light, some priests tap into shadow to better understand their own abilities, as well as the abilities of those who threaten them.

Priest Information

Priests use powerful healing magic to fortify themselves and their allies. They also wield powerful offensive spells from a distance, but can be overwhelmed by enemies due to their physical frailty and minimal armor. Experienced priests carefully balance the use of their offensive powers when tasked with keeping their party alive.

  • Type Healer, Ranged Magic Damage Dealer
  • Standard Bars Health, Mana
  • Available Armor Cloth
  • Available Weapons Daggers, One-Handed Maces, Staves, Wands
Priest Talents

Priest talents can strengthen their ability to heal the wounded, endanger their foes with the power of Shadow, or empower themselves and others with protective prayers.

i know i am probably gonna get a lot of heckling for saying this but pleas blizz change the priest dps spec from shadow dark based arcane casters ye sure but divine casters who use dark magic's are almost always evil which as we are playing hero's how the flek can an evil character be justified aside from death knights who's playability is justified already as part of the class.

@Puresa: I totally agree with you. Blizzard should've never created spriests as they are now, priest and spriest should've been two different classes.

@Daromir: I disagree. I understand your reasons, but Shadow is great in that its represents the dark side of a Priest - manipulation and mental domination, disturbingly similar to medieval priests in how they had ridiculous power over everyone else. Priests can stuff their nose in your business with Mind Vision, keep you where they want you with Life Grip, and even completely control your character's life with Dominate Mind and Void Shift!

@Alístaír: it may represent a darker side of divine magic but that is why i argue against it also if they wish to show manipulative priest shadow is still not needed as they could make the spec called control as that would be a neutrality available school of divine magic and show the side of priests you mentioned with out having them go for the darker ones.

@Deviled: depends what you prefer. Human for extra spirit (and freedom trink). Gnome for extra int. Undead for touch of the grave (additional dmg). belf for mana restore (nd silence). Those would be the best racials supporting priests; human (and belf) for heals, gnome + undead + belf for dmg.

sometimes i dont understand Holy Priestess they heal so much but the dont really lose mana its unfair for druid healers they lose mana so fast!

@React: that i because of 3 things
1. holy priests focus on heavy healing in single or aoe at the cost of the other making it easier to mana manage
2. holy priests have strong spamabel aoe that lets then heal for lodes for less then other healers
3.resto druid are hot based as such need to put up there hot an then use direct heals to fill plus with all there aoe heals having cd's they have issues within group healing
but resto druids have 3 advantages over holy
1. in single target they can stack lots of hots to overclock the healing
2.they are better able at dealing damage thus making for better soloabbilaty
3.the utility/ mobility of the resto druid is more flexible

Lol @Wundz

No they are not, and not everyone complaining about em, are u gonna complain on druids also then?
Stop complaining and try to learn how to actully play against euch class with alot of duels/arenas etc... ofc its gonna be hard killing some classes but hey euch class has diffrent classes they have trouble with so no Blizz u shouldnt nerf anything, let people learn how to use thier class and also how to play in a team!

Hello! I just wanted to complain a bit about priests in BG's and Arenas. They're are (without overacting) impossible to kill. They just spam Fear, then they take their little shield thingy and just one shot's everyone with Penance. So pleeeease Blizzard just nerf them a little big in damage and their Fear ability. And it's not just me, in every chat in BG's and stuff peeps complain about them.

I like Shadow Priests, but i dont know which one is better.
Mage or Priest,in my opinion i think Mages are more OP,but when i fight a Shadow Priest(s) they own me.
Are they good when their level 85 and have full Cataclysmic PvP gear,Gemmed and enchanted??

@Frostjack: =p that's just cuz spriests are made to be the bane of all casters. But they are rather vulnerable vs. melee.
