A great stone of jordan for yangs build.

Demon Hunter
I would guess just by what i know not all % modfiers works the same but. one stone would net like 12 dicipline for a total of 1200% dmg, both to vengeance and multi. But does it really work that way? like dexterity a 1000 increase in dex doesnt seem to add even add 100% more dmg or am i just blind or smth? wouldnt it trash focus/restraint? i know that is a flat 100% increas in total dmg, so if something crit 100 bil it would crit 200 bil, like the elemental afixes. so im just guessing it dont really work that way. and i had full trust in ppl running this as they are the ones doing the good runs with yangs! so i cant believe they miss out in it just want some simple explain really.

and to top it of, what does 1000% increase in dmg from 1000 dex actually adds, i cant see it actually adding that judging by the numer i would see with 2x augments worth of it. i know the setbonus from karlei that 1200% melee dmg seem to add it the same way elemental afixes add things up.
For the dexterity part of your question, you need to take in account the amount of Dexterity you have before the arrival of the 1000 additional one.

Let's say your attack deal 1M damage without dext.

If you have 14 000 dexterity, now it deal 14G.

Add 1000 dexterity. You have 15 000 dexterity and your attack now deal 15G.

So the inflation depend of the amount of stats you already have. For someone with
10 000 dext, 1000 dext is a 10% damage upgrade, but for someone with already
40 000 dext, 1000 dext is only a 2.5% damage upgrade.
Same as DEX the +discipline from SoJ will be less of a buff than F+R rings.

The reason is this:

Say you have F+R and you change to SoJ:

SoJ:
+% fire from 40 to 60% (for the loss of say 6% crit chance or 50% crit dmg)
+10 disc from 86 to 96

Let say your shot is doing 1000 dmg before accounting the disc and +%fire buff,
with them you will hit like this:
1000 * (100%+60%) * (100%+96*100%) = 155 200 normal mob
1000 * (100%+60%) * (100%+96*100%) * (100%+30%) = 201 760 elite

F+R:
With both F+R active and same base hit of 1000 you will hit like this:
1000 * (100%+40%) * (100%+50%) *(100%+50%) * (100% + 86*100%) = 274 050 to any mob

It is obvious that F+R wins the race even though I did not account for the loss of CritCh/CritDmg on the SoJ.

But when you use SoJ you usually also use Endless Walk set, so add to multiplication another *200 and you have better dmg, especially for elites.
The problem is to roll perfect SoJ and Compass Rose.
No the problem is that you are never standing still playing multishot. You're either blasting through a farming tier or you're frenetically dodging one-shot mechanics while pushing. You will probably rarely stack the damage buff above 70% and then you're still losing a free passive.
F+r for ue build and soj + ew for shadow. S4m6 don t know and don t care. Too Boring.

There are some issues with that scenario:

I did not account for the loss of affixes on the SoJ.
6% CHC or 50%CHD is not minor loss of dmg.

With EW you have to move ONLY on discipline (Vault).
With UE DH you cannot go elites only - have to clear all mobs, so the most of the progress comes from trash and probably only 1/3 from elites.
It is very difficult to utilize the templar's Oculus (+85%) if you only vault around.

So if you account for these:
- less 6% CHC (which is the least painfull loss)
- heavy use of discipline (heavy Vault usage) so your average is similar to non-SoJ
- less than +100% buff from EW on average vs. 100% uptime on F+R
- less hits on Oculus procs
- one lost passive skill on HFA
- hard to play style
you will just go back to F+R :)))
