Wine/Linux issues after latest patch

General Discussion
Hi everyone, after the latest patch I have issues running HS under Wine/Linux. I use Ubuntu 16.04 and the latest wine version from https://www.winehq.org/
There are graphics glitches like blank screen when graphics options are set to anything higher than low, background missing when the mouse pointer hovers over the game history icons etc. It's not like HS is not playable but it ran flawlessly until the last patch was released and now it doesn't.
Other players reported similar problems: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=30038

Does anyone use a Wine configuration that works well?

Anyone else having this issue? I can start HS, hear sound, and click on invisible buttons blindly - but the screen remains black after the update today.

Using -force-d3d9 as additional command line parameter in battle.net app Game settings for HS solved it.

My HS entirely stops working after yesterday's patch. Just a black screen after launching. Can't wait for Valve's Artifact, they'll make linux support 100%.

Did you try the -force-d3d9 command line parameter? You can enter it in the battle.net launcher app, under Hearthstone -> game settings.

I cannot make a HS / battle.net screenshot right now but found an older one that shows where to do that:

Thanks, I got the same problem as you (black screen, could hear the sound, could hover over invisible buttons) and the parameter ( -force-d3d9 ) really helped :)

Thank you for reply. I've reinstalled BNet and HS, and now I can't even log into BNet, button "login" seems to be invisible. Could you please tell, what distro, version of wine (wine --version) and what libraries did you install (through winecfg)?

Finally, I made it work. To make login button visible, I've installed sudo apt-get install p11-kit-modules:i386 p11-kit:i386
As suggested here:

(K)ubunu 16.04, wine 2.18 staging, removed all library overrides.

I had the following 3rd party components and dlls installed earlier with Winetricks. Some are not related to HS, though:

amstream
d3dx9_43
d3dx10_43
d3dx11_43
ie8
mfc42
msls31
msxml6
vcrun2015
wininet
