Forum Guidelines - Please Read
Welcome to the World of Warcraft discussion forums! This forum is here to provide you with a friendly environment where you can discuss all aspects of World of Warcraft with your fellow players. Community forums work best when participants treat their fellow posters with respect and courtesy. Therefore, we ask that you take the time to read through the forum Code of Conduct before posting. Search The new search function at the top of the World of Warcraft community site is extremely robust. Please be sure to use it to look for similar topics, blog posts, or web pages that may contain the answer before creating your forum topic. Making a new thread on an existing subject will likely result in your thread being deleted. If you continue to repost it you're likely to have your posting privileges suspended for spamming. Worst of all, you'll be making the other forum goers upset that you didn't take a minute to search before posting. Rating The new rating system (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/blog/930468) can be used to promote positive discussion, and demote unhelpful posts, or even report posts that violate the forum code of conduct. By hovering over a post you'll be presented with a thumbs up, and a thumbs down icon. Clicking the 'thumbs down' icon you can choose from a few options. Dislike will rate the comment down. If enough people dislike a post it will be darkened, or with a lot of dislikes it will be hidden. You can also quickly report a post as trolling or spam, or use the report function to fill out a more comprehensive description of the violation. You can only rate each post once. Use it wisely to help foster a positive and helpful forum community. Guidelines In addition to the Forum Code of Conduct (http://eu.battle.net/en/community/conduct), here are some common courtesy guidelines to follow to ensure these forums remain a constructive and friendly gathering place for the community. While these do technically fall within the bounds of the Code of Conduct, these cover more specific examples of common errors that will lead to thread deletions or posting privileges being revoked. The World of Warcraft forums are for discussion of topics directly related to World of Warcraft The forums here are specifically to discuss the game and related topics. Any topics not related to World of Warcraft, Battle.net or Blizzard are subject to deletion. Don't post in all capital letters, use a misleading title, excessive punctuation, non-standard symbols, etc. While everyone wants their posts read, we ask you to refrain from using these types of tactics in order to bring more people to your thread. Let your post stand on its own merit. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion. Using the words Blizzard, Blue, or any community team members name in a thread topic to gather attention is frowned upon Everyone would like Blizzard to read and acknowledge his or her post, and we understand that. However, use of such words in the topic does not help that come to pass. Please make your thread title relevant to the post subject. Threads violating this guideline are subject to deletion. Note that threads discussing e.g. the Blizzard authenticator or Blizzard’s latest press release are allowed to have Blizzard in the title as it’s then relevant to the discussion. Posting "First" or IBTL constitutes as spamming You will be suspended if you create a post that is intended to call out that you achieved a specific reply number in a thread. This is considered spamming. Posting IBTL (in before the lock) is not helpful and if you feel a thread should be moderated please use the rating button to do so. Posting TLDR or L2P constitutes as trolling Posting TLDR (Too Long, Didn’t Read) is saying you don’t care about a player’s post. Posting L2P (Learn to Play) mocks the player for their skill or experience level rather than provide constructive input on the post itself. Both are considered trolling and will lead to a suspension.2
[RP] The Roleplay Guild List.
We did it! We got the list stickied to the top of the forum. Thanks for all the upvotes and sticky requests.. Greetings all! There's a lot of Roleplay Guilds floating around in the new Moonglade/TheSha'tar/SteamwheedleCartel connected realm! If you find yourself in this thread, chances are you'd like to know more about the guilds that make up this great Sha'glade Cartel community. I'll be around actively for years to come, so I'll do my best to keep this thread running! It's in the best interest of the community if people can manage to find their way to the guild that best suits their interests, after all. For new RPers seeking to join the community, I would also advise you to consider joining the following two channels if you are Horde (using /join <channelname>): RPSocial: The active channel where the RP community stays in touch to talk about anything. RPNetwork: The place just for finding and organizing RP. For the Alliance (I believe) the channel to join is: LookingForRP and/or OMGRP. I am not sure which one is most active at the moment. If you wish your guild added to the list, please submit the information in a structure sort of like this template, but feel free to add more, less, or different information as well: ... I know it's difficult, but please do keep the information short! This is the place for people to see which guilds are around and what they are about, but active recruitment is best kept to personal contact or in actual recruitment threads for your guild. :) I'll do my best to keep the info in here updated and poke around from time to time to see if guilds on the list are still operational. Feel free to post here whenever I should update your guild's info, such as when new officers get promoted or websites change. I do not have much contact with the Alliance. If someone wants to be the one to poke around there for active guilds to add to the thread, it would be welcome. Sha'glade Cartel Guilds! For fairness sake, I'll keep guild order alphabetical. For contacting these guilds, remember that sometimes you'll have to add -Moonglade, -TheSha'tar or -SteamwheedleCartel after a character name, depending on what server they are on. An easy way for you to see who is online in the guild you wish to contact is the "/who <Guild Name>" command. If I type /who Bloodroar Army, for example, I would get a list of all the people online in that (fictional) guild, so I can easily whisper them.40
(A) 9/10 HC Casual Raiding Guild - Like Nothing Else
I think we can all recall our first guild, but we can even better recall that guild that first made us feel like we were a family, in a place that could be a home in game, and even outside of it. Guilds such as these are rare finds, and guilds who manage to have this sort of feeling within the guild, don't tend to also be raiding guilds. We have blended the two to get a casual progression guild that actually kills stuff! WHAT'S IN A NAME? Introducing (or re-introducing!) The Forty-Second. Our guild is named for the answer to life, the universe, and everything. We even have some dolphins! We've been around for over 5 years, and will be around for plenty more because we've stuck to some core values that have been unwritten, but universally understood. 1. There is no reason a guild cannot be a progression raiding guild, and also be good to one another and care about each other's goals and achievements just as much as our own. 2. There is no reason to beat people down and act like elitists if they screw up during a raid. We hope that the person will learn from it, and if they do not - to handle it with tact and care one-on-one instead of hurtful negativity, particularly publicly. 3. There is no reason for drama to exist in a guild full of people who care about each other and mutual goals. It has never had a place in The 42nd, we just don't foster a place where that kind of stuff is allowed to fester and grow. 4. People matter more. YOU are who matters to us. We are a community of people with rich and varied backgrounds and lives, not toons who serve one purpose, and as such - we value one another. 5. Real life comes first. No matter how often you play, something will always come along and disrupt that game time now and then, and sometimes reality can be harsh. We understand that things happen, and when tragedy strikes in whatever form it takes - not only will you have a home to come back to if you need time away, but you'll also have the support of your guildmates in the meantime. 6. Lots of rules are silly. Be mature, responsible and know that while you're wearing our guild tag above your head that you represent all of us. 7. Don't forget to have fun while pushing your limits in game. This is a game after all, and we meet within it to have our share of the fun within it. Taking yourself or the game too seriously only leads to burnout. We have a lot of fun here in The 42nd, but we keep things classy. APPLY HERE: http://thefortysecond.net/ OTHER EQUALLY IMPORTANT STUFFS So here are the boring things everyone reads on every other guild recruitment post. We are 9/10 Heroic Nighthold, and we have historically managed to clear current Heroic content to get "Ahead of the Curve". We raid on Thursday and Sunday evenings from 7:45 - 11pm server time. (and sometimes Wednesdays for a "fun run" - though not required, nor usually, progress). We are based on the triad of servers: The Sha'tar, Moonglade and Steamwheedle Cartel, Alliance - EU. It's an RPVE server. We are opening recruitment for dps, and even those with tank off-specs. There are always those rare nights that reality likes to snag one of our tanks. Any exceptional raiders are welcome to apply. We're also open for social members, we have quite a large community of social players who do everything from old content and achievement farming, to mog hunting and mog runs, and plenty more. APPLY HERE: http://thefortysecond.net/ LAST THOUGHTS If you remember your first guild, or the one guild which treated you like a valued person and not just a number to add to a raid force, it's because those kinds of guilds are truly amazing. Here in The Forty-Second, we're lucky to have such a great group of people, who celebrate our differences and unite in common goals. Come rediscover that feeling of wonder, family, fun, and feeling like a person - not a number. You can also contact Kittkatt-TheSha'tar by in game mail, in game live, or any of our officer team who will be glad to answer any other questions you have! LAST THOUGHTS - no...really this time. Bonus points if you're a gnome. APPLY HERE: http://thefortysecond.net/11
[H-RP] Hand of the Titans is recruiting!
The Hand of the Titans remains open to new roleplayers on Moonglade, Steamwheedle Cartel and The Sha'tar! We are a well-established guild with wide connections, with over 7 years of history. I’ll start a bit of an introduction of our motivations, before getting into how we’re set up and what you can expect from us. ----------------------------------------------- “We live in a world with great threats. Azeroth, the gift of the Titans, is in danger of corruption and destruction. The demonic hordes of the Burning Legion. The deep-seeded corruption and machinations of the Old Gods. Threats and forces in the world that would slay or enslave us. There once existed safeguards and guardians to shield us from the tides of darkness, but the safety of this world lies now in mortal hands. The Horde looks to secure the future for our people. The need remains to stand ready and shield our people and our world from any threat. In this new age, the Hand of the Titans fights to remove what corruption lingers on this world, standing vigilant against threats to our people. To stand with the Hand now means to stand vigilant within the Horde, to deal with threats to our people, wherever they may emerge. For the Horde!" -Champion Anroka Scaleslicer. Update: “Demons and cultists. As if we hadn’t seen enough of them on Draenor. If the Burning Legion thought we fought hard on an different world from another time, wait till they see us fight for our own home! Still, the demons are out for revenge and they never fail to bring long-lasting consequences. A dangerous conflict has come to our world. Time to fight our fullest for Azeroth once again; though we take many lessons, trophies and allies from Draenor with us. With our allies and our combined strength, we will remind the demons and other threats what the Horde is capable of!” ---------------------------------------------- How are we set up? We are a RP guild first and foremost. The order is led by Anroka, supported by a team of Officers. We have all eight guild bank tabs. Our guild chat is Out Of Character. Officers chat /o is open to all and used as In Character channel. We are loosely divided into four factions within the guild, based on the primary expertise of members. We are not a military order with very strict discipline, but we do have a command structure. We count many groups as allies and try to be an active part of the community. Role-play wise we are best described as an adventuring guild, with wide connections, and affiliations with many other factions, primarily the Horde, but also many neutral ones. ... What can you expect from our guild? Out Of Character we are a connected and social group of friendly people. In Character we are a group united in loyalty, overlapping goals and usefulness to each other. We are a guild dedicated to offering RP in great varieties of genre, PvE, events, RP combat and social activities. We are well established, with an active player base. We often run old content, and offer the opportunity to casually run new raids as well. Overall, the goal is to provide a good environment for our players; a helpful basis from which to explore the aspects of the game, alone and as a group. While some of our events and storylines are within the guild alone, we strive to be connected with the rest of the server when we can; participating in, and sometimes running, server-wide events. ... What sort of members do we seek? We seek members who would like to RP, want to be part of an involved group of people and would enjoy the opportunity join a guild such as ours. We’re open to all races and classes, in principle. It’s all about how you handle your character. There are a million reasons why anyone might seek to join the Hand. Whether you are a powerful demonslayer, a scholar of history, a concerned grunt or magister, or a mercenary looking to make a buck fighting for a good cause, most will find they have goals overlapping with ours, especially in these times of conflict that threatens us all. Evil characters are allowed within our guild, especially if they are not open with such intentions, but if your usual activities include corrupting citizens in the streets or feasting on the souls of the innocent, our guild is not the place for you. Out of character, tolerance towards people of all genders/orientations/races, adherence to WoW guidelines, RP etiquette and decent grasp of the English language are appreciated. "i c4n haz Gild plox?"-people need not apply. Much knowledge of WoW lore isn't required, as long as you keep in mind that your fellow members and their storylines will involve it to a decent extent. If you would like some aid in working out your character, we would be happy to give you advice. Experienced roleplayers are always welcome, but those new to it are very welcome too. As long as you have the willingness to get learn, we are more than happy to support you. ... How do you join the guild? We’re selective about who we let into our ranks. We like to be sure that people interested in joining us will fit well with us as people, characters and guild aims. As said above; many will. In reading this thread you’ve taken the first step. The next step will be to arrange an IC interview. You can whisper Anroka, Gosa, Asperia, Caerule, Arctius or Zajara(-Moonglade) to arrange an interview or encounter, so that we can see if ours is the guild for you. If I am not online, Nlaea can help you with information and helping me to get in touch with you later. Typing the command "/who Hand of the Titans" can give you a list of who of the guild is online. You can also post here if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, etc. This thread could likely use the bumping anyway. Extra info: We currently have a minimum level 20 requirement for various reasons, please keep this in mind. If you need help on your backstory or lore, we're always available for advice, and if you seek cooperation with our guild instead of membership, we're always open for that as well. Current events: Legion is finally here! We've had a great time with the pre-events. Now, the Hand of the Titans have answered the call to head for the Broken Isles. To fight back against the Burning Legion, and seek the relics required to stop them once and for all. Our Broken Isles campaign is now under way, as we seek new challenges, allies and discoveries to aid the safety of Azeroth. So far, we've been having a great adventure. See you on Azeroth!63
[H-RP] The Beastmaw Warband
Brand new recruitment trailer, thanks to Rocmar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buQmgBRJRCs ------ “We are predators.” Concept: The Beastmaw is a veteran pro-Horde military guild which has been on Steamwheedle Cartel since 2009, based on hunting and serving the Horde on the field of battle. The idea behind the guild is to have a group based on values such as honour and comradeship – between members and beasts alike. Therefore it seeks to gather a bunch of colourful, like-minded characters with the intention to prove themselves under the red banner of the Horde. The Beastmaw respects a number of traditions, both shamanistic and cultural. “We are a wolfpack.” Execution: When on duty, the Beastmaw operates in well-planned and organised missions. Traveling, setting up camps and thoroughly taking care of the supplies are all imperative elements of a successful mission. When the mission requires a lengthy journey, an expedition is organised as it is proper, to help the Warband survive the trip across the world. When off-duty, the Warband makes sure to honour various traditions: such as the Harvest Festival, when heroes of the Horde are paid tribute to; the Orcish om'riggor has been held for young orcs who wished to prove themselves to the Warband in the past. The Trial of the Hunt is a tradition crafted by the founders of the Beastmaw, for new members to prove themselves before earning their keep. Its practical application leads to a hunting mastery and the knowledge of beasts. Furthermore, the members of the Warband are bound by honour to watch each other's backs. Disputes are solved honourably in combat by the campfire, and never brought up again. “We are brothers.” Brief History: The Beastmaw began as a New Horde Orcish clan before expanding its frame into a Warband. Its first great achievement under the Horde banner was to spearhead a campaign across cold Northrend, as a part of the war effort against the Scourge. Following the Lich King's death, the Beastmaw reinforced Kargathia Keep against active Night Elf skirmishes. The following seasons led the Beastmaw to various places of conflict – Desolation Hold, Dustwallow Marsh, Uldum. When the land of Pandaria was unveiled, the warband was a part of the first wave of reinforcements to explore the Jade Forest. With the arrival of the Dominance Offensive, it established a base camp in Kun-Lai. The rebellion against Warchief Garrosh might have spelled doom for the Beastmaw, had it not been for its awareness and disapproval of Hellscream's recent actions. The conspiracy had not gone unnoticed, however, and after a failed assassination attempt by the Kor'kron, aiming to disband the Beastmaw, the warband added its banner to Vol'jin's forces. The seasons after the rebellion were spent in a journey after another. “We are warriors.” Organisation: http://i.imgur.com/0zD7UVy.jpg The Beastmaw serves as a division within the Horde army. It is an independent unit, attached to a larger army under the command of a Warlord in times of conflict. It employs the structure of a Warband, which means that it operates in small numbers and with a rank hierarchy simple enough to understand. Its charge in the Horde army is to scout, tame beasts, and produce skilled hunters and riders – from which the Warband name and banner derive. The warband colours are expected to be worn during official events, and the uniform code requires a matching set of armour, but outside of such events that rule is not enforced. Being a hunter guild, when a new blood joins, so do their beast companions. Therefore, every member must take a good care of their beast – mount or otherwise - train it to assist in the transport of supplies, wounded, or in missions demanding it to carry a rider. Even then, the warband seeks to recruit more than hunters and warriors. Spellcasters have long justified their usefulness on the field of battle and outside of it; the same can be said for assassins and death knights; skilled healers have always been rare, and we are very much dependent on their salves and healing methods. Adapting to the nature of the warband simply comes over time. “We are Horde.” What is to be expected: A friendly, very casual atmosphere. The guild is quite open to people new to the game or to Roleplay in general, and we are always glad to help out with advice and guidance. The guild almost always follows a storyline, with context provided either by the on-going game story, or the other members. As far as the game story is concerned, the Beastmaw tries to stay true to it at all times. Events are held twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays - with the occasional random gathering inbetween. The sole focus of the guild is RP, but guild dungeon/old raid runs, scenarios, PvP and everything else gameplay-related has always been made possible when there is interest. Requirements: You need to be level 20 to apply for the guild (or 70 for Death Knights) and possess at least basic knowledge of the Warcraft lore (the level requirement is there simply due to activity issues, it has no impact on the RP whatsoever). Furthermore, at least a rough awareness of what the guild is about, as well as your character's reasons to join, would save everyone a lot of awkwardness at the start. Racially, the core of the guild consists of orcs, which is what shapes its theme and overall atmosphere. That said, all Horde races and classes are allowed to join, given they have a reason to (highlighting it on purpose, due to the idea of roleplaying a sub-race; Revantusk and Shatterspear trolls, for instance, are allowed to join because they are allied to the Horde, but we would be quite hostile to other tribes, such as the Amani). How to join: A simple whisper or a letter to Torakk, Tannaka, Ronto or Rocmar should be enough, be it OOC or otherwise, to arrange an interview followed by an IC meeting. The guild recruitment tool is helpful, but not really practically useful, so we prefer a letter rather than a guild request. If approved to join, the recruit will undergo a few weeks as a New Blood, in which they are expected to earn their keep. Website: http://beastmaw.webs.com/68

[N-RP] Crimson Sun Brigade
The Crimson Sun Brigade is back in action! After a long OOC hiatus that allowed us time to live life and for memories to grow fond, we're looking back on the guild and saying "... Yeah, that was nice. Let's do it again!" Who Are We? The Crimson Sun Brigade (Steamwheedle Cartel/Argent Dawn) is a faction neutral paramilitary guild that do not care about the strife between the Horde and the Alliance. They have chosen to band together in the defence of Azeroth as opposed to risking the safety of its members by squabbling over old prejudices. Koranith Dawnfire commands over the whole operation which is primarily based in Fenris Keep and Dandred’s Fold. For the sake of making the paperwork a little more manageable, the brigade is divided into three branches: The First branch is led by Aeryndal Riverheart, focusing on humanitarian efforts around Azeroth. We can often be seen aiding civilians after battles and natural disasters. The Second branch is led by Eric Balston and has been given the nickname “Balston’s Braves.” We do most of the exciting stuff, going on adventures, contracted missions, et cetera. The Third branch is lead by Lanariel Belore'draco and focus on the arcane arts and all things magical in nature. We’ll often be found researching old tomes and artifacts, inspecting leylines, and doing the arcane heavy lifting around the brigade. NOTE: Just because an individual’s paperwork is filed under a certain branch does not mean one cannot interact with and aid another branch. An arcanist from the Third branch can accompany a squad primarily comprised of individuals from the Second branch out on missions. What Do We Do? As you can see from the above: a little bit of everything so long as it does not break our neutral status. Azeroth is our home. We will do what it takes to save it from anything that could possibly threaten it; from power hungry necromancers to mad scientists, from dark cults to the Legion itself, and everything in between. But while saving Azeroth is our primary goal, such things like finances can be a tricky! The Crimson Sun Brigade is and has always been primarily funded on others being able to hire us in nearly all matters aside from direct involvement with the Horde-Alliance war. We offer our blades, our spells, our craftsmanship - our time and effort for coin, which has given us the label of "mercenaries" and "sellswords." Flyers for The Crimson Sun Brigade can be seen posted around the capital cities of both factions, as well as the neutral goblin hubs like Booty Bay and Gadgetzan. They advertise our services and the opportunity to join our ranks. (If you are interested in hiring Crimson Sun Brigade or working alongside them during a campaign, please contact an Officer or member that can point you in the right direction!) Events! Firstly, roleplay is not restricted to events. If there are members online and you fancy doing something then just ask. The likelihood is that we will be interested in some random and organic roleplay from fishing together to campfire stories, etc., or even some of the more exciting stuff like treating a badly wounded patient landing at our doorstep. Events that have a plot and a DM will generally happen on Fridays at 20:00 server time. Depending on the current plot-line this can be almost anywhere on Azeroth! Occasionally the Crimson Sun Brigade will join in with the server-wide campaigns (from all four servers) hosted by other guilds, or even host our own depending on how brave the plot-writers feel. You will always be able to find out what we are currently doing because we will post updates on this thread regarding our activities! Can I Join? While we are not actively recruiting, nor will we be spamming the trade channel for such, we are welcoming of new members or returning members. The idea is to have fun! If you are interested you can send a whisper to an Officer or member who can point you in the right direction. The Crimson Sun Brigade is present on Steamwheedle Cartel (H), Moonglade (A), and Argent Dawn (H and A) and will be found working with all sorts of guilds and people or making our own plot/content. If you do not know all the in’s and out’s of lore, that is fine - we can help! If you are new to RP and you aren’t sure how to do things - we can help with that too! If you aren’t new and just want to broaden your horizons - we-- … Well, you probably see where I am going with this. The types of roles you are likely to find in the guild are as follows: Combat Oriented: - Melee combatant - Ranged combatant - Spellweavers - Medics Travel Oriented: - Scout - Messenger - Errand boy - Traders General Upkeep at the HQ: - Mundane Medic: from surgeon to field medic to simple nurse. - Holy/Shadow Healer: for critical healing of living/undead patients respectively. - Any profession worker or assistant (smith, leatherworker, tailor, scribe, carpenter, tinkerer). - Groundskeeper - Gardner - Guard - Provisioner: hunting, fishing, and gathering to help feed the brigade. NOTE: Individuals can cover more than one role! Such as a combat capable ranger, who is also a scout and helps as a provisioner when not assigned on a mission. Restrictions: Any race and class is welcome. Heck, we're founded by a trio of Death Knights with a couple of Warlocks in the higher ranks. Just don't be evil or rude or moonlight at 'Plagues R Us' or the likes. We're trying to save Azeroth, dammit! We have no level requirement and will provide some help with leveling, gearing and transmog hunts and we encourage members to help each other through dungeons and group quests, but we will not interrupt an event to do so. Roleplay comes first. We prefer quality RP over quantity and a good disposition IC and OC. If you vanish off the face of Azeroth for months at a time without a given reason, and especially in the early days of your career, you're likely to be removed from the roster. (Those removed for inactivity are welcome to re-apply, though!) We are a social guild of casual RP. All applying members must pass an IC interview. RP Roll System: We use a roll-emote combat system that we train all members to use for the sake of certain events. http://s4.zetaboards.com/Crimson_Sun_Brigade/topic/9819244/1/ For more information about us, read here: http://scarteleu.wikia.com/wiki/Crimson_Sun_Brigade Send your applications to myself via in-game mail (or /w me), apply on this thread, or via our guild forum and we will look to contact you in-game. http://s4.zetaboards.com/Crimson_Sun_Brigade/index/18
[H-RP] Convocation of Elrendar
“Name me the largest lake in our great kingdom. Name me the stretch of purest water splitting our fair lands in twain. Name me the dividing line between the unrelenting chaos of southern Quel’thalas and the glorious majesty of the North: Elrendar.” – Sateal Emberheart, founding Archon of the Convocation “We may be allies to the orcs and their Horde, but to defend both their best interests and stay true to the ideals of our people, sometimes they must be steered in a direction they cannot understand. Make the choices they cannot for their own good for the Sin’dorei, as always, must come first.” – former Overseer Anrithen Eirvaness "At its best, The Convocation should aim to be nothing less than what its name implies, a guide for our people to a prosperous destiny, unburdened by the past or wasteful dogma. King Dath'remar's only error was abdication, leaving the future in the hands of the unworthy. That is the same mistake we won't repeat." - Overseer Sorlain Amaran ____________________________________________________________________ Having existed in one form or another since the fall of the Lich King, the Convocation of Elrendar has gone through tumultuous times, and changed much, with the one constant being its commitment to the benefit of the blood elf people. Following a stint in the Reliquary's service and service in the war effort on Draenor, the Convocation were implicated in treason following an ill-considered deal with a Magistrix in service to the Legion. Freed from incarceration to be deployed in the Warchief's Sylvanas service by a new Overseer, the Convocation's goals are unchanged. To stand stalwart in their support of the Horde, to assist in the efforts to beat back the demonic invasion of Azeroth and as always, push Sin'dorei interests in old territories and the new, To go about these goals the Convocation is split into three wings, each tasked with a specific duty in which they might assist the greater whole and holding a degree of autonomy from one another. The Military Wing serves as the front line force, taking command in war and providing protection for the rest of the group in its pursuits. The Research Wing houses spellcasters and is tasked with the creation, analysis and deployment of arcane relics as well as providing magical support for the other wings. Finally, the Covert Wing deals with subterfuge, sabotage and is the natural choice for those who like to work subtly and quietly. The Convocation is led by three Archons, one in charge of each wing, and guided by the Overseer, who ensures they stay on task. Their missions vary from assignments on behalf of the Horde, to personal projects to advance their agenda to vendetta against past foes. The group is not above using connections of their members to find work, nor acting as mercenaries if needed. There are very few types of missions the Convocation rejects entirely, at least where the Horde is involved. _________________________________________________________________ Legion has come, and the Convocation is there and with a new direction for the new expansion comes a revision of the old topic. As with before, In lieu of the usual info dump on all relevant subjects, I’ve opted to go for a little FAQ-esque list on who we are and what you should do if you’re interested in joining, updated to reflect the times. 1. Who are you and what do you do? The Convocation of Elrendar is a heavy RP guild primarily focused on Blood Elves, their moral ambiguity and their ties with the rest of the Horde. We’ve been around on the Sha’tar since late Wrath and through retooling we’ve stayed active for the majority of time across the years. In Legion, the Convocation currently works as an independent force on behalf of the Horde, tightly connected to both the new Warchief's Deathstalkers, but with connections, good or ill, stretching over many more organisations within both Quel’thalas and the Horde, leading the order across Azeroth and far from their home in the High Kingdom. 2. What can the Convocation offer me? While we’re primarily an RP guild, our strong OOC community almost always has someone around to tag along for retro raids and dungeons, though our attempts at organizing anything larger almost always end up with one desperate soul spamming RPSocial to get people who are actually geared to help out. First and foremost, we’re a roleplaying guild, with at least three events per week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 19:30 realm time. Random RP tends to vary between those who avoid it and those who revel in it, but if you ask us, you’ll usually find someone willing to help you out when you’re bored. We usually keep in contact through Skype when out of the game, so though using it is not necessary, it’s heavily recommended if you want to stay in touch with the community (and keep up to date on all the recent in-jokes). 3. You sure talk about elves a lot, I want to join, but I’m not sure playing one is my cup of tea. Do I still have a chance? Yes, but it has its hangups. The reason we put so much emphasis on this is that the Convocation has, technically at least, always been a blood elf guild. However, we’ve always had one or two exceptions tagging along because certain characters mesh in or have very strong reasons for being part of it. If you want to join the Convocation on a non-Blood Elf, you will get the most out of it if you have a character who has strong ties to Quel’thalas or a reason to be heavily invested in their interests. The sole exception to this given Sylvanas's new role in Legion, Forsaken characters aligned with her would have a fairly easy time as assistant overseers to the Convocation. Opinions on the Horde races vary among the members and we’d be hard-pressed to accept an application for a character who doesn’t really have a reason to care about the Sin’dorei. Still, if you have a character who’s a fit, Blood Elf or no, we’ll try and find them a spot. 4. Why are you called the Convocation of Elrendar? Do you have anything to do with the Convocation of Silvermoon? The name is a show of the Convocation leadership's lofty ambitions, rarely matched by reality, to fill in the same role that the Council of Silvermoon once did, directing the High Kingdom to productive aims. To the latter question, yes and no – there’s no one in the Convocation with any ties to speak of with the previous Council, nor are they remotely similar in purpose or influence. The name is not accidental, the founding Archons declared its creation on the banks of the river Elrendar and they, as well as those who ended up replacing them, even now, through various political pushes, to obtain a similar level of influence as the old Convocation, most of which inevitably backfire. 5. I’m interested, but I don’t have much experience with the lore or with roleplaying. What are your requirements? From an OOC standpoint, we used to want our members to be at least level 20 (or 70 for Death Knights) when they join, but given the new focus on the Broken Isles, we're raising this requirement to level 100 for all classes. We’ll do our best to protect you when we’re in a higher level zone for RP, but it’s heartily recommended that you try and get your character to max level ASAP so we have full access to every are ain the game. The only addons required are TRP(2 or 3) or MRP, as they’re a staple of the realm. There aren't any OOC limitations on class either, though some may fit better than others. We want our members to have a good grasp on the English language. However if you have dyslexia or are still studying, we’ll take it in mind while reading your application, just let us know immediately. Likewise, because we rely overwhelmingly on established lore, it would be good if you know as much about it as possible. Wowpedia is a great source for this and the official roleplaying forums are full of guides. We’re less picky about roleplaying experience – even if you’re just starting out or have only played tabletop, we’ll give you all the help you can on your trial period to help you fit in. While this may seem overwhelming at first glance, all of that’s not something that’s too hard to catch up on with the right sources and we’ll be happy to guide you along the way. Provided you’re willing to learn and can take advice, you’ll be good before you know it. After all, we were all newbies at one point. 6. That all sounds very interesting, how can I join up and where do I go if I have any more questions? Back when Sha’tar was on its own and even after the merge with Moonglade, because of the small number of players we used to do our recruitment in-game. Now that the server has expanded, we now offer an alternative in the form of an application form on our guild website. http://convocationofelrendar.guildomatic.com/forums/ When or before you sign up, please tell us on this thread or send a message to Sorlaín, Jovia/Elrodan, Viradri or Tale if you have any questions. These are also the people you should talk to if you have any further questions about the guild, or if you’re a GM who wants to run a cooperative event with us, which we’re of course also open to. Phew, that was a little lengthy - Thank you very much for reading and we hope to see you in-game or on one of the sites linked above! We wish you a lot of fun in the meantime, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to talk to any of us online!7
[A] Daybreak - Moonglade - Legion Mythic - Recruiting
<Daybreak> Moonglade-EU + The Sha'Tar + Steamwheedle Cartel Looking for a few more to start mythic raiding in Legion. - MAIN TANK - Ranged dps - Melee dps Daybreak is still going and recruiting for Legion! As a core group we have been raiding together for over 5 years and as a guild we have gotten realm firsts and done most content in the past. It's safe to say that we're a raiding group with strong roots on the realm who is still doing what we started with. Our intention have always been to get to the end content as fast as we can while keeping a mature atmosphere in the guild. Our current main focus is 20man Mythic raiding and we are looking for more people to strengthen our group for progress in Legion content. Progress: Legion Nighthold (Mythic): - Skorpyron: CLEARED - Chronomatic Anomaly: - Trilliax: - Spellblade Aluriel: - Tichondrius: - Krosus: - High Botanist Tel'arn: - Star Augur Etraeus: - Elisande: - Gul'dan: Trial of Valor (Heroic): - Odyn: CLEARED - Guarm: CLEARED - Helya: CLEARED Emerald Nightmare (Mythic): - Nythendra: CLEARED - Il'gynoth, Heart of Corruption: CLEARED - Elerethe Renferal: CLEARED - Ursoc: CLEARED - Dragons of Nightmare: CLEARED - Cenarius: CLEARED - Xavius: CLEARED Warlord of Draenor Hellfire Citadel (5/13 Mythic) BLackrock Foundry (10/10 Heroic) Highmaul (7/7 Mythic) Mists of Pandaria Siege of Orgrimmar (14/14 Heroic) Throne of Thunder (13/13 Heroic) Mogu'Shan Vaults (6/6 Heroic) Realm First Heart of Fear (6/6 Heroic) Terrace of Endless Springs (4/4 Normal) Cataclysm Dragon Soul Heroic: (8/8 Heroic) Realm First Firelands Heroic: (7/7 Heroic) Blackwing Descent Heroic: (6/6 Heroic) Throne of the Four Winds Heroic: (2/2 Heroic) Bastion of Twillight Heroic: (5/5 Heroic) Raid Schedule Wednesday - Thursday - Sunday - (Mandatory): 20.00 - 23.30 (10 minutes break around 22.00) While we can't expect everyone to be able to raid every single day, you need to have above 80% attendance, in order to remain a part of our raiding team. We use a sign off system, meaning that you're expected to be online at raid invites, unless you've posted an absence note in advance on our forums. Recruitment We're looking to expand our ranks for the upcoming WoD content. Know that we will never hesitate to replace anyone if their performance isn't on par with what we need, and it's only yourself who can guarantee you a raid spot. If this sounds like something you are capable of, by all means, please apply. Gear is never an issue, we can help you with that part, as long as you know what you're doing, though basic raid gear is required for our mythic progress. Because WoD requires 20 people on the rooster to complete the endgame content we are already now recruiting more to fill our rooster. This means that this is a great chance for you who wish to get a raid spot, but due to gear or time doesnt really fit in yet. You now have the chance to join and get to know the guild and join us when we start doing 2x 10man heroic -> 20 mythic in WoD. - Open: Any good application will be considered for a trial. - Closed: Only exceptional applications will be considered for a trial. - Locked: No applications will be considered for a trial. [H] 7/10 HC Guild recruting cross-realm
FOR THOSE THAT ARE NOT CURRENTLY ON DRAENOR; YOU WILL BE INVITED TO NORMAL/HEROIC FARM FOR YOUR TRIAL (MAYBE PROGRESS DEPENDING ON YOUR ILVL/EXPERIENCE), ONCE YOUR TRIAL HAS ENDED, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO REALM CHANGE TO DRAENOR. Good day, as the title suggests we -Moonshine Bunnies- are looking for raiders in all roles to complete our mythic raiding team. A little backstory of the core of the guild: We have raided together through the expansions, a very close knit group of friends who are experienced in running a guild and raiding at a high level. We had issues with our previous guild causing us to form a new guild. Expectations of you: Communicate. I cannot stress enough how important this is, above all else. Commit to our schedule. The raiding schedule is as follows; (CET) Wednesday 20:15-00:00 (farm night, no progression will take place) Monday 20:15-00:00 Sunday 20:15-00:00 You will have 100% attendance with few exceptions, which you will inform an officer in as much advance possible. Be completely prepared for every raid. This includes being on time (15 mins early), having all consumables and having knowledge of the fights. We are currently recruiting all roles and classes, but with a higher focus on ranged in terms of DPS, though EVERYONE will be trialed, and all exceptional players will be considered, regardless of your experience/ilvl. What you can expect from us: High quality raiding. This means very little downtime, a serious raiding environment, and little room for mistakes. A huge amount of activity outside of raids. This includes mythic+, Achievements, and other general shenanigans. RClootcouncil will be used to hand out loot. Your trial: A trial can take anywhere from one raid night to weeks. Based on your ilvl/experience you will be invited to the next 'appropriate' raid, whether this is farm or progress depends on you. If you are still here after the wall of text above, or you have simply scrolled down, the way to organise your trial is simple, add my battletag (Tymoa#2145) and contact me. I hope to speak to you soon.1
[A] <AB> Nordic raiding guild recruiting on SIlvermoon!
PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for Nordic players only to come join us on Silvermoon. ABOUT: <Aurora Borealis> is a guild looking to do semi-hardcore raiding. We are a bunch of Norwegians that love playing together with all WoW have to offer. You have to understand Norwegian, however there is no requirement to speak it. Our endgame goal is to clear current content on Mythic difficulty. The guild has existed for about 8-9 years, and it's core have been playing together on and off ever since it was created. Come have fun while progressing content with us! RAIDS: Raids will be on Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday from 20:00 - 23:00. We will be doing alt runs or heroic clear for mains that still need the gear on Tuesdays. This basically means that you aren't required to sign for this raid unless you actually are in dire need of a drop on your main or you feel like gearing up an alt. RECRUITMENT: At this moment we are mainly in need of DPS to fulfill our future mythic roster. Currently in need of both melee and ranged DPS, however, all dedicated players and roles will be considered. We are lacking: *Hunters (Marksman / Survival) *Priests (Shadow) *Warriors (Fury / Arms) *Death Knight (Frost / Unholy) *Shaman (Enhancement) *Druid (Feral) *Monk (Windwalker) *Warlock *Rogue We expect all of our raiders to know their class well. It's your own responsibility to learn how to play your own class in the best way possible. This means that you also need to have a viable offspec. Or atleast be willing to learn to play an offspec for your class. REQUIREMENT: We understand that everyone have a life outside of wow and that different stuff can show up in real life, but we do require you to make it to atleast a 80% raid attendance. We expect all our raiders to come prepared to all raids they have signed for. Which basically means that you have to bring consumeables to raids, read up on tactics and mechanics for new raids, be focused throughout the raid and bring your A-game. Previous raid experience is preferred, although not a requirement. But we do require, as stated earlier, that you know your class well and to be the best you possibly can be. SOCIAL: We want a community more than anything else, to be a home for people to go to with clear and fair rules. Therefore we are also recruiting socials and PvP-ers, with little to no requirement other than being norwegian, or atleast understanding norwegian. CONTACT: For more information and further questions, please contact me, or one of my fellow officers and we'll have a talk. Liiland#2561 - Phillyberg, Discipline Priest Braxius#2171 - Eovina, Restoration Druid. Giefplox#2219 - Sylteskrevet, Protection Warrior. Best regards, Phillyberg0
GOTHIC SILENCE SWC LF CASUAL RAIDERS
Hello! Gothic Silence is a mostly casual guild situated on the Steamwheedle Cartel server group, that is currently looking to expand its raiding roster. Though we do welcome anyone wanting to join for the social aspect too! Gothic Silence has primarily, through its history, been a casual guild that has had a strong leadership throughout its 7 years, and has mostly been a place for a good group of friends and like minded individuals to hang out and play together, whatever that content may be. With Legion, we have put a slightly larger focus on our raiding, while maintaining our casual friendly atmosphere. The key point about raiding with us in Gothic Silence is that we are in it for a fun time, we will whole heartedly admit we are not the best players in the world, and we aren't trying to be, but we do try our hardest and bring our all. We also try out best to be as flexible as possible with our raiders, everyone has a life to attend to, and that's never an issue for our team. Some people can't make every raid and that's okay. We also have over the years had raiders from other realms be a regular part of our team, without being in the guild, and this is also a perfectly acceptable thing for us. While we only have 1 or 2 people doing this at the moment, we have in the past had up to around 5 or 6 at any given time, with some moving to join us permanently on our server! Current Raid Progression: 7/7 HC EN 3/3 ToV Normal 4/10 EN Normal Our raiding structure and details: We currently raid on Mondays and Wednesdays, with invites starting at 7:15 GMT, and we usually finish raiding at around 10-10:30 GMT, depending on how the evening goes. Raiding Requirements: Patience! As said above, we aren't pushing for big ranks, or for the highest numbers, or to be the best, we just want to clear content while it is current, and have fun while we do it. This means there will be wipes, sometimes frustratingly, but we still keep going despite this. Willingness to learn. Some fights, people will have never seen before, and you need to learn what to do, fairly straight forward really. But above that, be willing to accept pointers from others, we're all in the same boat after all. A Working microphone. If you plan to raid with us, a key aspect is to be able to communicate, and during a fight, the only way to do that, is to use your voice. (This applies for both people who with to raid, and those who don't!) 18+. While I am sure some younger people out there might really welcome the casual atmosphere, and laid back attitude we have, this is unfortunately not the best suited guild for younger players. For any further details, people message in game any of the following people: leviethan#1280 (Raid Leader and office), kittykat#2972 (Guild Master), or dashy#2936 (Co-GM)0
