@AmeeliaI was joking, i really need to learn to add the "/sarcasm" line at the end of my posts.I agree with you.The core difference between the time gated "grind" of today and the grind back in the day is the one simple ingredient that every game has to have: FUN.Back in the day, yea it took long to do stuff, but it was fun. The road to the prize was as interesting as the prize itself. Sure it wasn't always the best of fun, but even the dullest thing you had to do was interesting. Problem with todays "grind" is that people think you need to pour blood,sweat and tears and endure so much boredom…

Netherdrakes had eggs that you could farm besides dailies, but you had to compete with other players, which was fun. WQ now are a snoozefest that needs to be replaced with an actual fun functional way of unlocking them.

Best idea, lets put the rep grinds for Allied races behind Island Expeditions, they are a feature, no? But have the whole island expedition only give out 75 rep, we don't want to be left without stuff to do.

Id rather have rep be tied to the questline. You save these people from death, extinction....yet they want you to farm 10 bear as*es for how many days to call you their champion? At least let rep fill up with the questline then give out a reward chest for a completed set of WQ (or weeklies) that give out rep gear, mounts and whatever else rep vendors give, and that's it. That is all that reputation needs to be about. Have the reputation make sense rather than having to time gate grind it all the time.

A new player that doesn't know how rep works will not know you need 4 weeks of gated grinding to unlock them.A returning player (from previous expansions besides Legion) will think that rep grind is just that, a grind that you can do in a day or two.The only people who know the actual requirements are those who played Legion and BFA and they already know about the time gates.Also, tell me, who wants to cruise the forums for an extensive research on a game? @ Zoetrope But the thing is, its not rep grinding, its rep gating. Since you are limited on how much rep you can get per day. Grinding requires you to be able to farm rep in amounts that you wish. No sub based MMO that i know of puts time gates on their core features.
