OK, Solution that just worked for me perfectly!

Go to command prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns

enjoy ;)

edir: of course restart the game afterwards

Not everyone is running Windows. Besides, even on my W7 partition, this failed.

No game for me tonight. Flushing DNS does not work for me either as it's clearly not a local problem! C'mon Blizz

There is an entire thread dedicated to this, with blue posts.

The thread can be found here.

I just read the thread at http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/14609081752#3 and followed the instructions re: the cache, interface & WTF folders.

I simply moved them to my desktop while the game and all associated programs & services where shut down, then started the game client from the directory - not the Battle.net launcher.

The game loaded up, showing the screens you normally see after a fresh install. I returned the selection to my home realm, selected my main and logged in. It paused for a sec at 90% then let me in.

I'm now going to try pushing the aforementioned files back to their usual place and see what happens.
...moved the files back. All is good!

I'm locking this as the issues last night should be better now, but if you continue to experience this, please see our sticky thread:
