Imagine that Lich King was alive

Story
Now imagine it. Do you think if greater threat will come to Azereroth and threat every life(or death), would Arthas work with The Alliance and Horde Together?
the Lich King is alive his name is Bolvar Fordragon ;)

And the lich king now is more the jailer of the damned. Taking all his energy to not let the scourge overrun azeroth on a rampage.

And why would arthas work with the alliance or the horde? the ner'zul/arthas half breed wanted a paradise of the dead. So unless working together meant all the alliance and horde being turned into undead, that wasnt going to happen.

And lets hope bolvar doesnt get retconned, and makes the scourge fight next to us. There is a whole boatload of reasons why this shouldnt happen.

Then again kil'jaeden created the lich king. With the ner'zhul one being absorbed by arthas. and arthas being killed. He could try to warp bolvar into a better obedient lich king than ner'zhul.
He'd let the Scourge go zerg mode, assimilate the Horde and Alliance in to the Scourge to fight whatever threat was coming forth.

So in a way, yes, but not with the consent of the Horde or Alliance :-)

Tho i think he really shouldnt need an answer on that if he did ice crown, the trial of the crusader and icecrown citadel. Pretty much the same thing happened here. He wanted champions so wanted us.
The Lich King Ner'zhul already betrayed the Legion and played a big part in their downfall. He lured Illidan to kill Tichondrius, which was Archimonde's top advisor. This lead to Archimonde being completely obvlivius to his own arrogance and limitations. And Ner'zhul framed Illidan for it, making Illidan a wanted man by the Legion.

Anyways, the old Lich King might've played along but only if he knew for certain it would mean his doom if he did not. And he would recycle every fallen soldier from either side, to later betray the living when they won. Maybe even with greater forces than when he started out.

The Horde and Alliance would surely have alot of causulties that would wind up as Scourge servants pretty fast. Would be pretty cool to see though, imagine in a cinematic Horde and Alliance forces rushing towards this "threat", where they are cut or shot down by the evil threat but almost immediately raised and starts to attack again :))
Death to Bolvar Crapdragon!
Yeah Bolvar is no real King of the Undead, he is merely a Jailor and Warden of Northrend.
