Do you want to screw new players?

Yep! As of Patch 7.1, the passive bonuses increase beyond the 34th trait. Tooltip will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Because this is how you screw new players.

Now a new player will be like 35% stam and 15% flat damage behind someone who just hit 110, independant of gear?

Thats not even factoring in all the other artifact traits that easily make for double that again.

Even in PvP?

Are you mental? Do you really want to force everyone to grind an additional 60 MILLION AP (!!!!!) PER SPEC to not be behind 15% flat performance and 20% stamina for anything?
Yes, because it's perfectly acceptable for someone who started the expansion 8 months later to be on the same level playing field as someone who started playing the expansion at the start.

Be happy there are some catch-up mechanics at all.

^ This. Quit your whining and play the game. You're not supposed to get everything at once on a silver platter.

Thats actually perfectly ok.

And it's always been like this. Gear up to another person's level and you're even.

Anything else is madness and spells death for this game.

Still doesn't belong in PVP. What the heck is this stupidity?

Back when PvP gear was a thing, would you give free BiS gear to newcomers?

Reminds me of the time where we did run some mytic and mytic + for a new player so he gets gear from us all.
Maybe they should remove the trading feature about personal loot because no free loot for noobs and rng is a new thing with legion anyway . :D
and hi

PvP is such a joke these days comparing Legion's gearing system with previous expansions is like comparing apples to Sargeras.
i have 10 110 chars. 8 of them went through the AP grind, the legendary grind, the equip grind, even hall resources for 2 legendaries grind. now 7.1.5 comes and says you grinded for the lulz since we give people 20 levels of research for free and we shorten the wait for class hall research. and i wouldn't have complained if you didn't ask for even more. you used to have to grind old mats to skill your proffesions, that got shortcut since WoD and legion continues the tradition for the *new player*/*noob !@#$ing princess*. you used to have to level your chars, but the *noob %^-*ing princess* gets a level 100 char for free! 100 levels!!! as a noob you are supposed to be behind the rest!!! you also get the first legedary almost imediatly since the fix. if you can't be bothered to play the game, why do you want to play the game?
Inb4 someone starts praising Vanilla for it's amazing PvP even though you could get literally one-shot by a AQ/Naxx geared players (and not "I died in 3 seconds" I mean one skill would take all your HP away)
Blizz allready did it, when they don't care about EU playerbase. What's your problem?
I'm at least 35 traits on all spec artifacts. That should be enough. The ONLY one I'm going to max out is my main, frost. This means whenever I play fire/arcane I'll be at a needless disadvantage against players damage wise. PVP is supposed to be about skill not who grinded the most PVE content.
The thing is with this game is that it rewards you for staying and playing the game. It does not hand out things on a silver platter.
You would probably agree with me that newcomers shouldn't get BiS PvP-gear from the start. You have to earn it.

PvP is competitive play, and so, those who have played the expansion since launch have earned their way to the elite competitive branch.

Don't like it? Keep playing, or resign. The game is built upon rewarding those who stay and play. It is meant to have an elite class of players- it has been so since day 1.

I could go on a rant like you do, about the Plate of the Chosen Dead mythic set, but I won't, because it doesn't help and I know that I have to earn it to get it.
Considering the free loot that Legion hands out like candy, new players would not have big issues.

Edit : free was replaced by new (new players)
Honestly: !@#$ new players. They had enough time to start with the game. Why should I put up with artificial limits that diminish my fun just because some kid decided to start with WoW?

What next? Do you want to break the legs of professional football players because fat kids can't compete with them?

Disgusting socialist attitude.

But it isn't acceptable that the amount of AP from PvE is higher that from PvP + there is the quality/quantity factor. And I think that the gear is a good enough factor for your "veterans need to be more OP that new players" excuse.

After all, In PvP you work more and harder for less AP and VERY bad gear.

SO what, after I need to run M&M+ slot machine and raids in order to gear up for PvP, as a PvP player, because I get nothing from my "random friendship boxes"(another bad move to remove pvp vendor) I also need to complete "Maw of Soul Simulator" 1200 times for 54th trait in order to don't deal 10% less dmg that my enemy? It isn't PvP content, and it shouldn't be allowed in PvP.

How it will be that, " You need prestige lvl 15 to gain a 10% dmg buff in PvE" sound good, right?

And what about alts? In woltk and cata I used to join just with reputation gear and some BOEs and it wasn't a very huge difference, unless those players have full Ruthless tier. 2 weeks ago I joined with my fresh lvl 110 rogue in a BG, it was horrible, 0 fun, no win, no rewards

Wasn't this the entire point to the stat template system for PvP this expansion, to create a more even playing field. Shouldn't PvP be centered around skill and player ability rather than who did several months PvE grinding?

Having the 5-6% from higher ilv and the basic 34 traits is more than enough advantage tbh.

No, but you also wouldn't make BiS so much better that it made those without it obsolete. The stat increases from this decision will make it very, very hard for a newly dinged player to even scratch someone who has been grinding since launch.

It also rewards those who have chased AP this far, which aren't your typical pvpers.

This decision therefore somehow manages to discourage both hardcore pvpers and complete newcomers at the same time. It's quite a feat.

Saying someone else's attitude is disgusting is highly ironic. You're not wrong, it's just the way you word it.
