Basic Guild Information.

What is Atal’Antu?

A tribal warband composed primarily of Horde Troll tribes, Atal'Antu prides itself on maintaining the tribal traditions and strong communal foundations that the race brings with it. Spiritual ceremonies, tests of worthiness, strong community bonds and a true desire to maintain traditions are the driving force of the guild. (Accepted Tribes are currently Darkspear, Revantusk and Shatterspear)

Firmly building on the tradition that each troll has a duty to aiding the future of the tribe, we not only take seasoned war veterans but encourage those who aspire to help the tribe flourish. Those of the younger generation who enlist will undergo being fully trained with elders and masters of their field, where those unlucky few are forced to take various tests of strength, spiritual or survival to show they are capable of defending their people and carry on the brutal legacy of the Darkspear tribe.

Whilst primarily trolls, the warband accepts liaisons and those who wish to provide aid, advice or skill to further the cause of Atal’Antu. These will mostly consist of the various races of the Horde that are able to withstand the cruel, savage lifestyle of the Trolls and will have to adhere to their customs. Under the new leadership of Sian’ta and Kam’buku, the barriers to entry have creaked open as the younger duo understand the necessity for cooperation with the allies the tribe has bound themselves to within the Horde.

However the acceptance of other races but trolls is a very rare occurrence and the character must show that they fit perfectly into the life of the warband.
Accepted races: Tauren, Pandaren & Orcs

What does The Guild Offer?

Here at Atal'Antu we pride ourselves on being able to offer the following and more!

1. A strong tribal community that focuses heavily on troll culture and tradition, allowing a Troll to be themselves with their own kin that the Horde doesn’t or hasn’t always permitted.

2. A natural progression curve for your character. For example if your character comes to us a novice, they would be expected to earn the respect from their superiors and elders, expecting to follow every growl of a command to the letter.

3. A guild where traditions are important, elders are respected, certain tribal roles affect natural status and where the savagery and brutality of what Trolls really are is encouraged within context.

4. A mixture of stories, one off events, casual community RP and a lot of development through campaigns for your selected character, aiming to make sure you feel included and vital to the warband.

5. Our own unique rolling system that makes you feel unique as a combatant, meaning the spiritualists won’t be as skilled in fighting in close quarters as the ruthless warriors do or vice versa.

When can I expect events?

Main RP Events

Days held: Sunday and Mondays at 20.30 Server time. Thursdays are used as a catch up day should it be required.

These are when we put most of our main events together. This could either be story progression, one off events or something where we provide structured DMing and chances to go out and do things.

Tribal Gatherings or ‘Trollin’ Saturday’

Saturdays will be used for a gathering of the trolls and others in the warband to kick back, relax and enjoy the company of your brothers-in-arms.

Other RP

We are a role-playing guild and even though we do not have events everyday, we actively encourage and strongly support casual, social or spontaneous RP around these events. As the tribe functions as a community, the RP outside the events is the most important for forming long-lasting relationships and getting the most character progression.

Recruitment

How do I apply to join the guild?

Atal’Antu runs an initiation that involves a small OOC discussion before an IC meeting. In order to join you can contact one of the officers or if we are unavailable, simply send us an in-game mail or poke another member who will make sure we get in touch with you!

Or, you can apply directly on our Website: Atalantu.enjin.com and press "Application".

At present you can contact: Sianta, Kambuku, Valitaa and Kirdran.
Guild Structure.

The Basic Guild Structure

As a tribal community, Atal’Antu carries with it the belief of open communication within the tribe in a respectful manner. However as a warband, order must be maintained and, for this aspect, they are under the guidance of the Atal’ju. The Atal’ju, or ‘Devoted Master’, are the pinnacle of the ranking system that the warband holds itself to, and their word is law when out on the battlefield.

Below them, the Trolls following their lead are divided into ranks that are befitting of their mastery or age, which the Atal’ju will decide upon when they join and when they escalate.

The Ranks

Our Ranks are as follows:

Atal’ju: Translates directly into Devoted Master.

The senior council of the warband, they work as the leaders of the tribal community. They are regarded as the highest authority, experienced in their field and capable of ensuring the continued growth, success of the Atal’Antu.

Ju: Translates directly to Master.

Below the council come the Ju. These are the masters, veterans and the role models of the warband and tribe that others aspire to be like. They not only have experience but have demonstrated the true values of what it means to be a Darkspear and are outstanding pillars of the community. With their skill and accolades, they are given the duty of encouraging, training and helping the less experienced members of the group to progress in their chosen skill.

Antu: Translates directly to Guardian

The upper rank for those who have shown the traits required to be a guardian of Atal’Antu. They have demonstrated willingness to defend the tribe, encouraged the less experienced to grow, shown what it means to be a troll and have maintained the traditions and spiritual followings expected of them. They still have room to grow however and begin the long, arduous process to reach the rank of Ju. They are expected to help provide council, friendship and experience whilst still developing themselves.

Atal'thraze: Translates directly to Devoted Blade

Functions currently as an officer alt rank.

Atal: Translates directly to Devoted

This is the first official rank for those who are not students. It is also the rank given to the students who pass the final trials and officially welcomed as warriors, spiritualists and scouts of Atal’Antu.
The Atal are passionate and devoted members of the tribe who strive to bring about the best whilst pushing themselves towards that coveted title of master. In simple terms, this is our basic soldier rank and the starting point for many.

Atal'ji: Translates directly to Devoted Student

The devoted students are those who have passed their first basic tests and are able to finalise their training in preparation for the final trial and initiation. Skilled in their respective field, they demonstrate the ability to aid fellow students but focusing primarily on their own training in order to better the tribe and the Horde.

Kal'varo'ji: Translates directly to One Who Learns

Kal’varo’ji is the starting student’s rank. Those placed under the title will be the few learning the tricks of the trade under a superior Troll of the same skillset. They are expected to learn from their master and obey their orders without question during combat. This is the starting rank for those who will be joining on a younger character.

Kaharu: Translates directly to Friend

Kaharu is the rank given to those who are non-Troll within the warband. They are valued at their words and actions as they are outside the general ranking system. The outsider will have to consider their approach carefully and respectfully when it comes to working with the Trolls in their daily lives.

How our promotions work:

The Atal’Antu prides itself on a natural progression curve within the guild. Promotions IC are considered a privilege and an honour to be celebrated that should occur naturally when the time is right rather than on a schedule. This means the more you put into the characters the more chance they’ll be recognised sooner for their actions and merits.

As mentioned before promotions are based upon the IC actions and merits of a character. Within troll cultures, such things were and still are a cause for celebration. In order to receive a promotion, each member must participate in a series of trials, upon the approval of the council. These trials involve a test in their specialization, for example a warrior would have to show combat prowess, and a test of loyalty, honour and tradition. In essence, they must show they hold the true values of being a troll. Only by completion of these trials successfully can one be deemed worthy of the promotion.

Upon promotion, the participant is invited to attend a ceremony in front of the rest of the community to mark their achievement. If they do not pass, they merely have to regrow any lost chunks of their body and try again when there's an opportunity.

For the Maw!
Current Campaign update: Atal'Antu have now relocated to Southern Barrens to follow an internal campaign regarding the blossoming scar located between Nothern and Southern Barrens.
Hey guys,
Guild RP events within this latest campaign have been pretty great so far, but we are looking to take on more members to make them even better. There's a core group that attends most of the events, but it would be nice to see some more new faces. So give Zuzkini or Zennua a message if you wanna join a friendly troll RP community with regular events
Ice waffles
Atal'Antu is now in Malaka'jin, Stonetalon mountains after having finished their mission in the Overgrowth with success, for now we will be located in Stonetalon for an undetermined time and we will be using Malaka'jin as our base, if you want to join us for casual RP, you're more than welcome to do such!

Throw us a message before turning up so we can arrive there and we will offer all the pleasantries we can give a guest!
The guild has steadily grown and we are proud, happy and grateful for all the amazing players in our guild that make it a pleasant place to run events for. Currently the warband is heading deeper into Desolace in search for their missing friend; Kir'an.
The guild has once more opened its doors to recruits and if you wish to have some questions answered or apply to the guild, feel free to contact Zennua, Zuzkini, Kirdran or Sianta, along with anyone online to request to speak with any of the recruitment officers!
Sounds like a cool concept and idea I'll have a thinking over this :)

We are currently stationed in Sen'jin / Echo isles before we head out towards our next campaign in Stranglethorn, if you want to run into anyone, it's just to hit us up oocly first to make sure we are in area for it. Tomorrow we will be having an event on Echo isles, so could be prime time for that then!
Once more are we back on Echo Isles after our last trip and some summer vacation OOCly! If you wish to be in contact, it's either me, Zennua, Zuzkini or Kirdran! We are happy to respond to any and all questions!
Troll RP. I approve. Bumped! Would be nice to interact with y'all some time.
