Druid worth rolling if you only like Balance?

Druid
I have been thinking about rolling a balance druid as my new main because after trying melee I know that I like ranged more.

I will only be balance though as the rest of the druid's specs don't really interest me.
Is it worth rolling a druid?
Well surely have options for other specs is good. If you only like balance then I'd suggest trying others first. Maybe try mage or Warlock first. You will have more options for ranged dps then.

Then after trying them you still feel like you enjoy Balance the most then sure go for it but no point limiting yourself to a single spec as you may get bored in the future.
Its fine, the other speccs are fairly simple aswel(save feral) so you can use them to get faster qs if you feel like it too
I shared my opinion on a similar topic over here: https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/17616871912#post-2

Druid is always a great choice, because you won't find any class bolstered with a comparable combination of versatility and mobility. If you feel comfortable with Balance, I wouldn't worry too much about the other specialisations. You can always turn towards them when you feel like exploring.

That being said, if you're already thinking about rerolling -- I've always preferred playing casters, too. Yet, I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed the Demon Hunter. The class has a fairly unique skill set, and the mobility and versatility granted by some skills and talent choices is just a lot of fun. If you play through the starting area, you'll get a sound idea of the core concept of the class, and a character that basically starts at level 100, too. If you decide you don't like it, you wasted two hours of game time giving melees one last try and gained about 1k gold from leveling through the starting area in the process. Just pitching the idea :)

as main character you have to ask yourself the question , what level of content I'm I going to be doing.

do you plan on doing high level raiding for example? , what happens if balance becomes non viable in mythic raids or high mythic plus keys.

would you be prepared to switch from balance to feral dos because it was much better on certain fights.

no one else can answer these things for you.
Yepp. Balance has been a strong spec for a long time now (not just this raid but for expansions), and pretty much every mythic guilds wants one.

I play Druid to play Balance

Hasnt been a problem for us this expansion so far so I wouldnt look to much into it.
I would def say that Balance Druid is one (if not the best) "hybrid" dps in the game. Not just looking right now but overall throughout the expansion and previously.
