Am I missing something?

Ok I just watched a video on YouTube where Blizz was asking a survey of a WOW player and what they wanted from WOW classic. It asked question like Battlegrounds and Arenas and host of other stuff that wasn't around in Vanilla.

Am I missing something?

But isn't the whole point of Vanilla or Classic as Blizzard likes to call to recreate the original experience? Just give everyone 1.00 but with all the bugs fixed.
Bugs fixed, those that mean we get 1.12.1 talent tree or not?
Blizzard hasn't surveyed what people wanted. All surveys were done by random people, not Blizzard.

Let's wait and see what Blizzard will actually ask about.
There were so many undocumented changes throughout the patches and some of them are probably pretty extensive. If removed or implemented could probably make me more interested in a static server rather than progressive. Say we go 1.1 to 1.12 and undoc. changes are replicated as patches progress then I would rather go static and have no nerfs ever. I don't want to be told I killed an easier version of ragnaros than some guild that managed to kill it one week earlier.

I am 99% sure the TBC bosses were all progressively nerfed through the expansion. This was effectively the alternative to casual/catchup gear. Blizzard didn't want people wiping on say Gruul/Curator to do so forever and ever. They wanted them pushed through the system. Certain bosses were incredibly hard/over tuned on initial release.

I think Classic was the same - although I can't remember as clearly.

I feel if the server is released as 1.12 forever then much of the earlier PvE content has been heavily nerfed. I also suspect this is why much of this content has proven a cakewalk on certain private servers, rather than "we are all just so much better at the game, everyone, including the hardcore obsessives, was just bad 12 years ago".

Yea TBC is confirmed to have been stealth nerfed, water elementals on morogrim is a rather famous one but the whole of SSC got nerfed at the same time. I got lots of information on TBC but vanilla is proving more difficult. I know ragnaros and magmadar received some spell nerfs looking at the data. C'thun, huhuran I remember too but the rest I havent looked at much.

I just really wish I got to play the encounters at their most difficult but I don't know whether I have time to hardcore it so wish they would just keep it at the most difficult. It also adds longevity which I doubt is bad.
