Illidan vs Turalyon

Story
Who do you think would win if those two actually fought?
Probably the guy who spent a thousand years fighting demons, as opposed to the guy who spent ten thousand years chained up in Maiev's basement.

Turalyon also has a good track record of 1v1 fights, whereas Illidan got his !@# whupped by Arthas and Maiev both, after he got his metamorphosis on.

I would suggest that he might have a lot of stamina...
Didn't Illidan block Turalyon's sword with just one hand? So the difference in power between those two is quite telling. Also reminds me of this:

Also when he fought against DK Arthas, Arthas was enhanced directly by the proximity of the Lich King and Frozen Throne, and when he was fighting against us adventurers as a raid boss, it was said by Blizzard Illidan was on his death bed at that point already, and still he managed to put up a nice fight against us.
Illidan has power levels Draenei-lover paladin cannot comprehend. Illidan defeated Xera alone and Xera was the naaru who empowered Turalyon. Turalyon may have fought for thousand years, but his raw power levels are simply much weaker than those of Illidan, who is basically a fel bomb, and has a lot of physical strength in his own right. Turalyon is strong, but in front of the night elf demon hybrid is just a shiny human man.
Frankly, I couldn't stand that scene with him and wished Illidan would just blast him too.

Let's not forget Turaylon struck to kill, while Illidan was still recovering from fighting Xe'ra's r- I mean influence attempt.
and Turaylon himself was never stated to be by say a powerful individual.
As much as an inspirator or good strategist.
And we know Illidan was powerful to be considered a vessel for Sargeras' power the whole Nighthold plot was to prevent that.

Of course not the full power of a titan but still.

Turalyon is supposed to be fairly strong guy for a human. He dropped Orgrim to his knees with a strike which is quite a feat when orcs are supposed to be quite a bit stronger than humans. This was Orgrim Doomhammer in his prime thought he had just fought Anduin and was wounded.
Doomhammer must have recognized the threat in his tone, for the orc leader gripped his hammer with both hands and swung it up, blocking the blow he sensed was coming. But Turalyon had both hands wrapped around the broken sword’s hilt and brought the blade down in a blinding flash of light—
—and the ruined weapon slammed hard into the massive warhammer’s black stone head, the impact traveling down the heavy wooden handle and shaking it free of its master’s grip. The hammer fell harmlessly to the side. Doomhammer’s eyes widened as he realized what had happened, and then he closed them and gave a faint nod, waiting for the rest of the blow to fall.
But Turalyon had turned the blade at the last second, and struck the orc with the flat instead of the edge. The impact drove Doomhammer to his knees, and then he collapsed alongside Lothar, but Turalyon could see the rise and fall of the warchief’s back.

Illidan also has much more experience with his warglaives than Turalyon.

I hate them both, but Illidan gets this one.
Illidan is seriously out Turalyon's league. It isn't a question.
Turalyon couldn't even finish him while Illidan was on the ground and facing backwards to him... come on.

Oh yes he is physically strong!
But he is not powerful so to say, he does command impressive light forces.
But his value lays in his commanding abilities and not his individual power.
Power levels? Since when is WoW DBZ?

To answer the topic. I pretty much estimate some kind of tie between them.

World ending threats, Player Character insane power ups, power of friendship to stop big bad, should I go on?

This, and end of discussion. Turalyson is a pretty golden boy wearing lightforged armor, but that's all there is. He hasn't really shown any power or skills, other than talking alot and makiing cheap Khadgar-style puns.

Have you met Illidan? Blizzard has been upping his power levels since Warcraft 3. He basically went from strong night elf demon hunter to super Saiyan demon elf to fel infused super Saiyan demon elf.

That's part of the reason he looks so ugly now. The other is his scowl.
I'm gonna say Turalyon just so the edgelord losers that !@#$%^-*!e furiously over Illidan gets triggered.
Lord Illidan knows the way...

;)

For seriously though, you do not compare characters like these, you compare illidan to arthas or deathwing etc. , you do not compare him with shining holy-boy turalyon. It wouldn't be a Vs. , it would be one-sided slaughter.
I would say it was a close call, giving the edge to Turalyon! We know Illidan is very strong, but when Turalyon has the right motives ( his mentor dying to Orgrim, and then putting the Orc to his knees "easily" - which by the way this Orc is top tier, if not the strongest orc to ever live!- and when he was facing Teron Gorefiend, Gul'dan's Hand, and almost killing the warlock, he was bolsered by love! Keep in mind this was a very very powerful warlock, even Ner'zhul was afraid of him!

While Illidan is very powerful on his own, he is not known for winning 1v1's, quite the opposite ! Now, some would argue that Illidan blocked Turalyon, BUT, he blocked a normal blow, almost an autoattack! Turalyon himself was doubtful, otherwise he would have used the Light, not just strike normally with his sword. Furthermore, you can see he didn't try to hit anymore, he simply stood there, fighting with himself...

And lastely, while it was a Naaru who empowered Turalyon, the Naaru are not known for fighting well, but for bolstering their allies, and unleash strong charged attacks. Illidan simply unleashed a blow, that Xe'ra was not expecting! Not saying she would have won, but she is not simply stronger, beating her ez.

And needless to say, Turalyon has been 1000 years beating demons, and the only thing we have seen from him since was a doubtful strike, one he used only physical strength, possibly not at its max, if he himself wasn't focused!

Haha sure, is this why Turalyon watched in shock when illidan at front of the everyone oblirated his one and only , holy-being mentor ''Xe'ra'' to the literal pieces , that we had to pick up from the ground.

Rest-in-Pieces Xe'ra, btw.

Not to mention how easly illidan held his blade on the air while being already exhausted, without even looking at it.That alone tells a lot, I can't believe how you people even giving the slighest chance to turalyon...

Shock can come from Xe'ra trying to force Illidan to be lightforged. And at the same time shock from her being destroyed. As I said, he was naturally warring himself in his thoughts! Did you see the Light empowering his attack ? Of course not ! I think I explained pretty well why Illlidan was able to block Turalyon, please give me a good argument besides "he wasn't even looking". I think I gave you a pretty pleasant one!
