We need QoL. Nobody want to fight over quests

Classic Discussion

P.S oh and you do not have to "fight" over quests. there is this revolutionary thought called working together, you may have heard of it.

What is this working thing you speak of and why do i have to do it together with some stranger. That could lead to all kinds of unpleasent talking. /sarcasm

Overcrowded can be fun if you can still play the game.
Too many players however, and you can't play due to the immense lag.
Some sharding just at launch can prevent that.

????
Northdale had 13k people on launch and it didnt lag? Dont talk !@#$, cheers..
Sharding removes all the social aspects people look forward with classic...

Were they all at the same area?
When Timeleless Isle opened the lag, freezes and disconnects were immense due to the large amount of players there.

TEMPORARY sharding only at launch could prevent that, and only if it's needed. Just to have a playable and stable launch. After that it wouldn't be needed anymore.

From PC Gamer article:-
There’s still a lot of questions about how the team will tackle it, but Brack says they’re committed to recreating an authentic Vanilla World of Warcraft experience. "One of the tenets of Classic WoW is none of the cross-server realms and different [server] sharding options that we have available to us today. There’s a lot of desire on part of the community that this is something that they don’t want."

Would imply they don't see sharding as an option they will use. Having sensible realm caps is the way to go but that could lead to a lot of dead realms.

Launch day will be one of the most memorable experiences. No need to change it in any way.

But if we don't spend two to three weeks of the launch with massive server queues, intense lag spikes and near unplayable gaming, how can we relive the authentic Classic experience?

If I don't get at least ten 1-day exempts during my first billing cycle I will write a very angry forum post about #nochanges.

I'm sure you'd want it to be a positive memorable experience?

If some things can be done to ensure a smooth launch if necessary that's not a bad thing in my opinion.

Be it some sort of sharding or something else.

Because I just want to rush off to the next quest on my checklist and miss an awesome 15 minutes of getting to know people from all over the world, hear a few jokes and maybe add someone to friendlist for a dungeon.

I dont want to feel like my character is actually part of the world and is affected by other people. I want to be able to do anything I want at any time, without having to work together to solve common problems.

Most of all, I want quality of.. wait what is this? Players took it upon themselves to form a queue? I must have gotten it all backwards.

This is quality of life.

Being able to just play a game and not know what to expect. To happen upon random occurences with people you never knew existed and create endless experiences together that you can look back on and fondly remember.

Vanilla. There will be never be a game like you.

Fck off, NO CHANGES.

Heh, it will be a mess but you won't forget it in a hurry - and that's important.
It wont be a problem on Blizzard's no changes servers coz the cap will be at 2.5k or 3.6k pop and not 14k like Elysium and Northdale.

Err, ok :)

The drama over slow rate spawns on quest mobs will be real, I fully expect they will fix this thinking it's better for players totally missing the point.

In reality nobody is going to form a line, form a group and get that tag!

infact something like that happened at MoP release (ofc there were a few !@#$%^-s)

the quest where you have to follow chen stormstout were super bugged. Only 1 person could do it at a time. If someone picked up the quest while another person did it, he would despawn for the first person, and he had to abandon the quest and start over.

after around 15-20 min of chaos people DID form a line to complete it, The bug got fixed pretty fast.
