Depression.

General
Jesus these comments.
Do you people not realise that getting out of bed, let alone “going outside” is a struggle daily with depression? And with anxiety it can CRIPPLE YOU.
Easier said than done and nobody will understand until they experience.

1. Identify where your depression and anxiety stems from. When did it start? Events that happened or just something you always had?

2. Identify your anxiety triggers and note them down. This is all gonna take a lot of thinking but I’m guessing you probably also have insomnia with plenty of thoughts to kill.

3. Tell someone irl who genuinely cares for you and will listen and support you. Be it your mother, best friend, uncle Bob. Just 1 person. If they know, skip step.

4. Go to a doctor and tell them and don’t you dare let them fob you off. Medicine can help take the edge off but it is not a cure. Also, it can take a while to find what works. So long as you can leave the house without a panic attack it’s helping.

5. Get CBT therapy. You talk about your issues and also how to combat them with logical thinking. It does help. Talking and meditation stuff? Did nothing for me.

6. Take it easy. Let yourself have bad days. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Simple stuff like brushed your teeth yay! Ate 3 meals paaartttaaay! Did a washing load aw yeah gonna be so fresh and comfy. Little joys. Little battles.

7. Go at your pace nobody elses. Don’t let friends, family or professionals push you. Only you can battle this.

Finally. It may never completely go away. I have had depression since I was a kid. A mixture of genes and trauma. Anxiety for many years and only now do I feel relatively ok. (24) It comes and goes, you get bettet at dealing with it. Noticing what triggered it. Also worth mentioning, I have two autoimmunes I was diagnosed with last year that cause depression - certainly a big factor. Try getting over all health checked too and be pushy about it. I get fobbed off so much but I won’t have it!

You are so not alone. WoW is great but you need to be prepared to battle this. I promise it can get better, but I won’t promise it will go completely. Good luck.
stop playing wow, get a dog, go out. i'm not joking

Eat organic food and low carb, never anything processed. Drink filtered water. Sleep 8 hours every night. Get some direct sunlight every day. Do exercise (not long aerobics). Your body and mind will start to heal itself when its given the right conditions.

And that's the most cow-excrement (go ahead and guess the original word) answer I could possibly think of. People got 90+ years old before your veggie-crap diet and guess what, those guys actually fought in and won/lost wars, unlike "Generation hold-your-hand" that breaks when a bug is run down.

Neither your body nor your mind is as fragile as modern society wants you to believe. And the sooner people start to understand that again, the sooner we'll have less whining cringers and SJWs.

This is the advice I would give as well, having battled with depression for most of my life.

I would also highly advice to avoid psychiatrists at all cost. They are the real life necromancers. Psychiatry is not a real science.

By the Lord, stop giving people advice that'll drive them into solitude and suicide.

And if that "worked for you" then you actually never got a problem in that regard in the first place.
Anti depressants doesnt help. They just change brain chemistry and !@#$ you up. Seek someone you can do good CBT with. Idenics is always my way to go.

Oh and, whatever you try that will help you deny problem and run away from it wont work. Its called polar bear effect.

Quick way to help yourself is to notice how you feel about things, be it good or bad, and simply accept them by intentionally feeling those emotions/thoughts/body sensations... something new might come up, do the same for it and so on.. you should feel better in no time!

Good luck, you can do it! Love and accept yourself <3 And thank you for fighting for yourself by sharing this with us!

The reason why some people end up in solitude are biological and nothing that can or should be altered with drugs.

Psychiatry only has one real purpose which is the short term suppression of potentially dangerous symtoms of some form of imbalance. It never adresses the root cause and has no holistic perspective.

It's really amazing when people go through 5+ years of medical school just to abandon medical science in favor of fortune telling in coffee grounds and a medieval witch doctor attitude towards chemistry but that's basically psychiatry summed up.

Never said anything about vegetarianism, LCHF is usually the opposite of such and encourages animal product (so long as grass fed, hormone free, etc).

Those generations weren't being poisoned by Big Pharma and Big Ag, but in the present day we must undo a lot of stuff just to get back to baseline, but feel free to keep munching the SSRIs from the "professional" ! (Seem to be doing you a lot of good, going by this...outburst?)
...
Psychiatry is not a real science.

Do you know how many lives psychiatry actually saved since it developed more proper means to work with a human mind?
If psychiatry is not a real science, then god made the world, which is flat, in six days.

Get out.
Talk to a mental health professional and don't listen to what people say here.

Actually, to give some valuable advice... and to "comfort" the veggie-department and those psychiatry naysayers: go see a chiropractor.

You'll be surprised how your view onto the world changes after your body was set straight.

If you are a real psychotherapist. You wouldn't give a general advice like that. For some the depression/ anxiety is so crippling that the medecin is needed.

But i do agree that the are to happy With giving meds. instead of solving the problems

My GP was also a psychiatric specialist and her policy was never to prescribe antidepressant to under 18 (I was 17 at the time). Couple of years later the government banned all but 1 antidepressant drug to children, and the remaining one was to be prescribed only in rarely cases. Personally I just lucked out having a well informed doctor who was ahead of the curve, but yea, many other do not give a f l y i n g.

Now, the question you must ask is, what magically happens at the age 18 years and 1 day that suddenly makes these drugs safe and dandy to hand out?! If I was to choose a doctor today my question would be "how many patients have you got *off* medication recently?", and if the answer is a look of confusion...walk out there and then
studies says Adolescent brain development stops at 25 not 18 . so yeah avoiding to 25 is optimal. But that doesn't mean, you can say no meds. to 25.
In some situations it's needed.

Not sure if its the right forum but i wanna try it,

Im suffering from an anxiety disorder + depression,

I play WoW for a couple of years now to get a bit of 'relieve' from the stress it all causes. But as time passes i feel WoW doesnt help me that much anymore since i dont have any friends with me that wanna play this game or either are trolls or just kids that think this illness is a joke.

My question is : How do i cope with a depression caused by an anxiety disorder apart from only play WoW?

Find something you're interested in, make it a hobby, look for the benefits of that hobby and feel good about doing it.

Video Games Benefits:

Improves coordination. ...
Improves problem-solving skills. ...
Enhances memory. ...
Improves attention and concentration. ...
It is a great source of learning. ...
Improves the brain's speed. ...
Enhances multitasking skills. ...
Improves social skills.

I put this in here since we are part of a video game community but many of us will also have other hobbies which offer different benefits.
OP what's your Bnet battletag? I would like to chat. I know what you are going through right now since i have the same disorder.

I know some really promising supplements which could help you.
...go see a chiropractor. ...

That is, I believe, important. Even quoting myself now, bc having your body in line solves so many mental issues you wouldn't even dream to imagine it could.

Get your bones set straight, get your spine relieved, get your chest opening up so your heart can work in ease etc pp. It does automatically solve so many mental issues by you just forgetting they existed.

It's the best advice I could give you, to start with. Also see a professional, of course.
OP add me:

Koto#21714

Anyone can add me for that matter if you want some supplement tips. It has helped a significant amount of people.
