Feels like there's a weapon shortage...

General
It feels like there's a shortage of weapons. I'm seeing a lot of people saying that they are still using trash just because they haven't gotten a decent drop.
First of all I'll start by saying that my main spec is retri and I'm still using a 281 ilvl axe i got from a quest, just because I haven't been able to get another better weapon ever since I hit 120.

Right now my ilvl is 327 and even though I'm on mythic content I still haven't gotten a single weapon drop from a dungeon. This problem is experienced by a lot of people by the way.

As a ret, out of 8 dungeons that I have access to, only 3 dungeons have a weapon drop, 1 weapon per dungeon from a single boss.

World quests don't really give weapons and when they do, there's a pretty decent chance of the weapons being for your offspec. Why not do based on loot spec when completed?
ive managed to get a decent upgrade from a quest for my retri palla but im really struggling to find TWO decent weapons for my rogue.
For a while, I was stuck with a crappy green weapon drop I got from a mob because I wanted to go survival.
I ended up just going for the two dungeons that have a weapon drop at the first boss and if it didn't drop after they died, I left the group.
Wasn't fun and I don't like doing that sort of thing.

They need to add at least a few items you could buy from the rep vendors.
One could say to use the professions to get a weapon. I haven't checked, but I've the feeling those would be rather overpriced. Correct me if I am wrong there.
people got spoiled, they expected to be showered with epic items from every quest and every dungeon.

i think the current weapon situation is good. it gives crafters a chance to actually sell their wares. the lazy and the incompetent players can pay up and get a weapon that way.
Yea Gawd, its been 6 whole days Blizz!
Two hander situation:
Dps turn to Tanks->get to the boss with the drop they need->get the wanted loot/do not get the wanted loot-> quit and the group is back searching for a tank.

Good current weapon situation...

/smh
Could just buy a half decent one from AH ilvl 300.

they aren't bad not too expensive either.

And before you say anything about what I'm using, I bought both a shield and sword on AH before I got those.
Finished my mythic world tour on warrior today. As in, I have now killed every mythic dungeon boss available.

I have 3 Azerite chests, 4 Azerite helmets, and a cloak.

I went 11 bosses without a single item, and was somewhat hopeful when I reached Dazar without looting anything. Nope, another Azerite piece. I even switch to prot spec for one handed weapon drop bosses

Siege of Boralus was the same. TWO str 2-handers in there, and a one hander from a seperate boss. What do I get? Azerite from last boss.

Can you AT LEAST let me trade the stupid garbage helmets with worse traits than the very first one I got?

My rogue would still be using an ilevel 300 weapon if I hadn't bought a BoE from the AH, and my warrior is using 300 crafted for both arms and prot.
i have done 5 mythic dungeons and probably a dozen heroics, and still i haven't seen a single weapon drop for anyone in my parties so far.
all my gear is between 320 and 340 ilvl and i'm still using a 310 weapon i crafted with engineering (luckily it upgraded from 300 to 310!), because the highest weapon i got otherwise was a 290ish green gun.
and today i got a WQ for a survival polearm 320...basically i got higher weapons for a spec i never played than my main spec.
IDK,
Its only been 6 days and there are 14 left before raid opens so still ample time to get weapons.
This being said however it does feel a little lob sided that classes using a 2h weapon only need to get lucky once compared to those of us who use 1h weapons :/ .

But at this point in time my biggest gripe by far is the typical mindset of the player base looking for 330+ geared players to do mythics... Oh well, hi ho hi ho of to make my own groups I go (easily did it with people who were 320-325 so hopefully I made a couple of people happy).
Yeah the AH 300 ilvl weapons are a hot garbage that cost >15000 on my server.
I was hoping that there was going to be a clear path on acquiring gear but never imagined they rule out weapons and make them grind casino material.

And the fun part is that with their terrible ilvl scale tuning it might be best not to have a >300 lvl weapon at all.

What a mess!
I was lucky to get a 345 mace on my last mythic dungeon i could do, legit boosted me by 3 ilvls lol
Ring, ring and more ring. Thats what i got from every dungeon and world quest.
Remeber to change your lootspec for quests and in instances. I try to change lootspec for every boss, so he has a chance for a weapon drop for any of my three specs. WQ can change, depending on your lootspec, not all though.
Have not gotten a 2h for tanking, but a mythic 1h for dps and an offhand for healing.

Is that happening already?

Mythics aren't difficult enough to require 330 ilvl.

true . But people below 330 usualy need a lot of stuff and cant trade gear they are getting. That's why next reset most of really good geared people making groups will without doubt demand minimum of 335-340
