Morale gray world 8.1. ?

Story
Before BfA Blizzard had promise us, that this new war will be a "Gray World".
But until now we had only Dark "Evil" world of Sylvanas. The Lich Queen who burn down innocent civilians with children, who were surrendering. Creating her own Undead world. Pure evil.
And we had bright "Good" world of Anduin. Knight of the light, who does not want that war, who wants peace, who is just forced to have a war, who just want to stop Sylvanas to protect innocent...

But now in 8.1. Horde gets Saurfang. Old orc who feels guilty for murdering so many innocent children. Who doesn't want to have war against Alliance any more. Who wish to stop Sylvanas.
Sounds like he is a good guy. But is he? No, he was the one who wanted that war at the beginning. He was planning to make whole Night Elves race to be Horde slaves. He was planning to kill NE leaders to brake their hope. He personally kill many elves who wanted just to protect their homes, their families...

Alliance gets new Tyrande and Malfurion. They are now use evil dark magic of the Void. They are killing enemies with no mercy. They bury orcs alive.
Sounds like a bad guys. But are they? They are not conquers, they are fighting against enemies on Night Elves lands. They are fighting to save their home against murderers.

So, in 8.1. Horde really gets a "Grey World" in Saurfang's Horde. And Alliance gets a "Grey World" in Tyrande's-Genn's Alliance. But is it fortuitousness that this happens in the same time? =)

Indeed, that would be High-King Anduin Wrynn. Your High-King, whether you play a Human, a Night Elf or a Dark Iron Dwarf.

I also share no love for Saurfang, the monster who butchered many innocents during the First War and who led many attacks against the Kingdom of Stormwind.

They are also selfish pricks who turned their backs on the needs of the Alliance and berated the one who showed the most kindness and hospitality to their weak people.

What are you talking about? The moment Tyrande dares to break off from the Grand Alliance, her people, hostage in Stormwind, is purged.

As for Greymane, the good butler of House Wrynn, he has Anduin's blessings to accompany Tyrande in her little charade in Darkshore.
There's nothing "morally gray" about burying a greenskin invader alive in your own lands. If he didn't want to experience it, he should have stayed in the Barrens, or better yet, in Hellfire Peninsula. Completely justified.
gray is a lie
An action that is a mix between good and bad; in the middle.

In an all-grey conflict, neither side is totally good nor completely evil. Both sides have a strong, justifiable reason for fighting, and contain a mixture of people of all kinds, from admirable, upstanding individuals to vicious, slimy scumbags.

This is the lands of the night elves. No horde scum should be there anyway. Everyone who supports the horde now has deserve to die... painfully.

By the Light.

They are now use evil dark magic of the Void.

Agreed, a crime against the Alliance! The values of the Light is what binds the races together (hence why the Void Elves have no part in the Alliance), and if you betray the Light, whether you worship it or not, you betray the Alliance.

Agreed, except that going as far as using the Void is unacceptable.
Couldn't we just say that it is dark magic like necromancy? I mean it isn't pure void. Pure void you can only see on Void Elves & Shadow Priest for example.
They are also selfish pricks who turned their backs on the needs of the Alliance and berated the one who showed the most kindness and hospitality to their weak people.
Excuse me? That sacrificial force in Nazmir had the largest component from the night elves. Very few would go against a direct order by Tyrande/Malfurion to retreat all forces back to the Homeland. That order was never given however.

Sounds like WarIII Nelves 101 tbh, lest we forget that entangling thorns had a decent damaging component as an ability. Purging the Horde-Alliance allied forces after Mannaroth's death. Tyrande's massacre of the Wardens. I see that people have forgotten how determined/savage the nelves can be.

The 'dark colour' magics is not confirmed to be Void yet, and could entirely be shadow. Even if it was Void, Elune being a Titan of Light/Void does not make the nelves evil.

The Kaldorei's enemies have shown no mercy and in turn receive none.

Considering how most Kaldorei embraced Anduin as their leader, I doubt that.

Leader of the Alliance is not the same as leader of the Kaldorei. How many will continue to be happy with his leadership of the (coalition) of powers having heard that Anduin was unable to provide aid to Darkshore?

You don't get it, do you?

The Night Elves don't have a choice. One wrong move, and Anduin may very well order an ethnic purge of the Kaldorei in Stormwind. Stormwind is the new home of the Kaldorei. And also their prison.

How very Garithos of you, Arctur. Ahh but you don't get it either - Anduin's too much of a Jesus-type character to ever order such a thing. Nor would Greymane support it, with how the Gil'neans owe their lives to the nelves. This is the Alliance not the Horde.

Do you really think that the King's consent is required to purge a city? The Culling of Stratholme shows otherwise.

Stormwind belongs to its people. Never forget that. The Kaldorei are strangers, and will be treated as such.

"Obey the High King! Unless he tells you not to purge the Night Elves, in which case feel free to disregard the High King." Stormwind has already expended a lot of troops fighting the Night Elves' war for them - so many, in fact, that they're unable to continue doing so. I think any attempt to "purge" Stormwind would inevitably end with the Night Elves having a new home city and the Humans moving into Westfall to help Salma Saldene make stew.

I can get behind this.
