Locking proffs/story behind dungeons.

General
Just why? A lot of people really have zero interest in dungeons or raids so whats with the putting story behind/inside them. Same with proffs,i've given up on them now,not able to continue crafting because i dont want to do your dungeons with the rest of the cancerous LFG mob is terrible design.
In bfa? Only had one prof dungeon quest for anchor weed. I know exactly what you mean though that's why I hated legion.

What other profs in bfa are locked behind dungeons?

Not completed the whole story yet, still doing tirasgarde sound so only had the dungeons at the end of stormsong and drustvar which I can ignore thankfully lol.
My favourite is getting an anchor weed quest for a dungeon I can't access until I'm 120
Yeah, like Nefaryas, I'm not sure where professions are locked behind dungeons - and even that one Anchor Weed is only for Rank 3, not for anything more basic. In Legion, you had to do multiple dungeons just to learn some professions, so this is a huge improvement.

There's Sanguicell, of course, but that's a raid thing, not dungeon.

Perhaps you could clarify which professions have recipes that require dungeons?

As for story behind dungeons, well, some parts of the story have always been in dungeons and raids; again I'm not seeing what specifically you're referring to here?
*laughing at the Black Forge*
professions were tied to dungeons/raids since the beginning of the game and legion forced you do enter more dungeons for your professions!
the truly hideous part about the professions now is the rng stats in BOP items, really sadistic stuff...
if anything they are heading away from the direction you describing now, i don't understand how can you unfold a story of conflict in a game without some epic battle? like what's up? you only want to watch cinematics? are you serious?
102 level 120's in your guild & you cant find 4 to do dungeons with you.
In BfA, the only one I'm aware of is Rank 3 Anchor Weed.

Legion - just don't...
Imo it was very cool to have some of the quests in the dungeons. I remember one alchemy quest from legion where you had to open secret room in the Vault of the Wardens. Felt like a RPG game.
I dont understand People like you who refuse to do any kind of Dungeons/Raids...
What even is the point of playing then ?
Im not being rude, im really just curious what you do in game
Lucky that I am one of those players who actually love dungeon quests.

In fact I would like to see more.
Currently theres only ONE dungeon quest at the end of each zone lore chain...

Why isnt there any pvp quests why leveling?

And I would like to see quests targeted to higher keys.
If you do the daily dungeonQ on mythic key you get +5 min.
Tbf I dont do dungeons and have only stepped in Lfr a couple of times. In answer to your question Lyandris, there are plenty of other things to do in game, collecting, gold making, pets, achievs, not everybody is interested in m+, raiding etc, in my case gear for that matter (as long as Im geared enough to do what I want to do). Though I do agree with OP, not everybody wants to dive into a dungeon to grab a recipe which is just a placemat to get u in the dungeon. I think proffesions should be something specialised such as mega questlines to be able to produce BOE BIS, it should have an option to cater to people who are more willing to spend their time to farm, quest etc, almost make it a class rather than a sidenote of which it is now. I for one know that I would put that effort into it, i'd love to have a dedicated blacksmith and not a warrior who happens to be a blacksmith inbetween content.

Its actually for rank 2 of anchor weed, so I can see why some people don't like it.
Imho this just bounds in an irrational fear of anything tagged mythic. In legion there was plenty of had a meltdown over the 2 mythic only dungeons.

Oops. Thank you. Yes it is rank 2. I thought it was 3 as well. Still, it's nothing compared to the dungeon requirements to level Alchemy in Legion. It took 3 or 4 groups before I found one that would do the extra boss in Vaults mtself, and I boosted several people through it later in the expansion.

Dungeons and raids (and PvP) should always be optional content and not forced for progression imo. Simply because not everyone enjoys that content, and that means that people that do enjoy it are then forced to play with people who don't enjoy it, don't know what they are doing etc and who is happy with that?

For me there is a physical limitation that stops me enjoying that content and then I'm spoiling other people's fun and that isn't fair on any body and all so I can get a recipe? Or continue my class hall or whatever? Nah thanks give me some convoluted quests or treks across the entirety of Azeroth any day.

Ooops; so it was... R3 was Pods.
Locking prof advancement behind dungeons was a Legion thing.
I think Blizzard learnt that it wasn't a popular move as BfA doesn't appear to have anything like the same block.

It's acessible at 110. Just can't queue in the finder

You can just go there and enter it. Lfg isn't the only way to go into a dungeon.
