What's with the RNG-ception?

General
RNG within RNG within RNG within... it's RNG (and turtles) all the way down:
1) Personal loot - Do you get anything?
2) Loot table - What do you get?
3) Warforging - Does it increase in power?
4) Titanforging - How much does it increase in power?
5) Socket - Does it have a socket?
6) Tertiary stat - Does it have any?
7) Tertiary stat type - What tertiary stat does it have?
+1) Bad luck - Do you already have it?

What are your thoughts on this kind of slot machine?

Well, a real slot machine at least gives me 45% chance, so I know that I'm going to lose when I roll too often.

I'd say a slot machine therefore has less RNG, and is quite clear on its outcome.
The fact that there is no way for players to target gear is one of the main reasons BfA is a sh!tty expansion and one of the reasons players leave in droves. RNG is good and expected in a MMORPG. When there is only RNG however, it's bad.

The upcoming Azerite-vendor is a step in the right direction and probably the closest thing we'll get to Blizzard apologizing/admitting that they were wrong about "RNG IS FUN!".
