I wish Shadow could restore mana to the party again like it could in TBC. Or something along those lines.

It feels so bad that pretty much every dps class can bring something unique or important to a dungeon except Shadow Priest.

The problem is that no dps actually uses mana and have issues with it. Healer mana isnt a problem in mythics too when u can freely drink between packs if needed.
Well the heal of the SP is pretty cool actually but the warlock do the same thing with his stones AND he can rez in combat ...

Also the Healing of VE isnt blow away amazing unless you hit the perfect moment. With lots of targets, DOTS running and VF ready to go.

For VE to be a worthwhile CD really it would need to hit like a healer CD, not be a !@#$ version of atonement. VE is ok for topping people off but realistically, Ive never heard a healer say they noticed it in any way.

Its also difficult on a pick up basis to communicate when youve used VE.

If it cant save people its not really useful to a healer because they cant rely on it. Old versions (pre-legion) of this talent/ability were considered good because A) It usually meant the prient required no healing for the duration /at all. B) Its throughput was so high on a party basis you could watch peoples HP noticably jump up.
