School assignment about world of warcraft

General
I have got a assignment from my teacher to talk about something I do on my free time, and I picked wow. If you guys could give me some suggestions on what topics I should bring up. I am stuck and can´t really think of stuff to talk about and how to explain them.
bring up azerite armor, the slot-machine looting system, butchered lore and island expeditions/warfronts
Write about lives destroyed by addiction to this game~
If you can't think of stuff to talk about maybe you should pick a different topic?
Write about lives destroyed by addition to this game~

Can't even tell if this is sarcastic anymore haha
Talk about how WoW is a community orientated game, people get together to go into dungeons and lairs of powerful creature to defeat them. Tell them of the horde and alliance, 2 factions who fight against eachother and want to conquer the world of azeroth.
Hey Jupp,

Here are a few ideas that might help you out!

- Discuss about how did you start playing WoW and why?
- What do you enjoy doing in-game (raiding, PvPing, questing)
- Talk about the social aspect of the game and potentially MMOs in general
- Maybe talk about the lore/story of the game, favourite characters and what qualities you see in those characters

Hope that helps out!
You can talk about how big companies become all money grubby at the customers expense.
Tell them about a casino with game graphics
tell them about wod and the camera selfie patch , they will have a gooooood laugh
You could also mention when/or if you are a raid leader or guild leader you co-ordinate people and wow classes to overcome difficult challenges. It also could be good life skills for future employment ideas.

Logistics in this game help a lot.

Ha!
I've done that too (years ago now, I'm getting old...).
It was for English, and we had to make a 20 minute presentation on something we did in our spare time. I played WoW and raided Molten Core every night, so that seemed like a clear-cut thing to talk about :P

In gymnasium I had economy and there we also had to do a presentation on a company of our own choice. I choose Blizzard Entertainment. 30 minute presentation from a business / economy perspective.

Blizzard have snuck in quite a few times during my school days :P

Anyway,
If you want to talk about WoW, then show pictures if you can! And make it very down-to-earth. Assume that your audience don't know what WoW is, what an MMORPG is, or really what a video game is. Don't spend 10 minutes explaining the failures of Azerite Armor. Talk about playing with lots of other people, exploring beautiful landscapes (show pictures!) and share a little bit about the story (draw some comparisons to Lord of the Rings or something that people know about).

Cool school assignment!

I once made an assignment about my free time a choose a game, and I actually went with these bullets.

I started with general information (not leksika information) about the game, and then I began to talk about my fav char, their special traits and why this class was my favorite.

Then I talked about the social in the game, and my role i groups. I wrote about pros and cons when you are in a fixed role or always run with the same people.

I also talked about the views on games from the outside world, and how I defended my choice of free time.

I rounded the paper with my views on the future for gaming (teachers loves that ^_^)
Talk about actual recreational activities you do in your free time and not WoW
You have to be mildly interested in at least one other thing man
Another thing I find interessting about WoW is its own economy/currency.
Sounds boring at first but if you think about where gold comes from it is either looted, from a quest or by selling something to a vendor.
On the first day of WoW all players together had 0 Gold and only because of players looting, questing and selling the server got filled with gold.
Now there are people who have over 300 millionen gold and thats something that amazes me alot :D
This "talk about a hobby"-assignement is for getting practice in talking in front of people, I suppose, and making sense to someone who has no experience of the topic = probably your teacher. Keep it simple and basic. (Best is to leave out most suggestions given here, they're just being sarcastic.)

My suggestion is to talk about how you started playing, difference to an MMO and other types of games, new in game friends you might have met and played with, your happiest moments, the hardest things you have done.

The Blue post gives good suggestions.

Try to suggest a WF/TF to the grading system. Where every grade has a chance to magically become much better.

Let's see how your teacher feels about it.
You can also take a dive into why do people play this game or how WoW is also known for bringing people together?

I have met up with several people from my guild irl and had more fun with them than my rl friends because it is people i share interest with.
Talk about something creative!

This is what people expect to hear when they ask about your free time.

You are not in US to be a simple consumer of entertainment.
Talk about how this game seems to inhibit independent thought in some people, that would be lost without guides for the most mundane tasks or ask the most lazy questions in the forums.
