Healing in lore

Story
Just wondering how does healing work storywise?

It obviously isn’t how it is game wise, surely?

Also how does a shaman’s water heal a person??

Answers I seek because thinking about it has just confused me.

Edit - maybe I just lack imagination smh
Healing is extremely OP in the lore. At the Battle of Lordaeron, Anduin alone, A 18 YEARS OLD BOY (he truly is amazing), was able to heal an entire force and protect them under an invulnerable dome-shaped shield of Light. It clearly proves that a good Healer is able to single-handedly turn the tides of the battle in their favour.
Anduin is a special case I don’t think many others could do anything of the sort other than Velen but i was more curious about how heals work for
Druids
Shamans
Monks
Druids are able to heal others by asking nature to heal someone's wounds, like Malfurion did in I think the novel The Demon Soul.

Not sure about Shamans, but for sure there is a link between Spirit and the Element Water.

Monks call upon the powers of Chi-ji, the Red Crane. Their spells were actually meant to be red, but that was confusing for players.

Anduin is a special case

Well in warcraft 3 almost any good lvl 6 Paladin could resurrect a bunch of people so it's not like Anduin did something ever seen before in universe...he only healed the Alliance while resurrection is way more rare after all.

You haven't seen my Healing Rain.

Well, according to the lore, various magic forces are capable of restoring the health of the people that the caster wish to be healed. It's pretty much as simple as that.

Druidic magic is all about life, so they are kind of "regrowing" your health.

Monks are about their Chi energy so, I assume, this works as some sort of accelerated regeneration of the body.

Our shaman's water magic... Well, water is life, isn't it? Living organisms are mostly made of water and water is necessary for living things to exist. Therefore, understand this as providing the target with a magical water-based resource that their body is able to use to regenerate itself quickly.

Resurrection is extremely difficult lorewise, it’s not as easy as it is in game.

For calia it took three people didn’t it? Anduin, Turalyon and who else? Idk

Also, Surely it would be difficult for healers to consistently just fling out heals? Wouldn’t they get tired eventually?

This helped a bunch! Thank you, so the basic premise is boosting regeneration of the body through these types of magic. Thank you

I haven't seen your Healing Rain either since you play dps.

Alonsus Faol and a Naaru...although that was not really standard resurrection either as she's back as a Lightforged Undead and not Human...

In my opinion it's less difficult for them to cast heals than for mages or warlocks to cast arcane magic or fel..less tiring, let's say. Although in order to cast the Light you must have strong willpower and the Light could not always answer anyway. So for Light-based healers is indeed more difficult to heal than for Druids of Shaman.
What kind of healing?

I highly doubt that healing potions are anywhere as efficient as they are in-game, seeing as if they are, they would pretty much erase the need for doctors in the field as everyone would simply administer a simple potion rather than go through lengthy, risky and complicated procedures.
'Healing potions' are most likely just minor salves/medicines that helps with everything from defeating bacteria, tying together tissue, causing blood to harden, clean wounds or contain lots of important minerals and materials for your body.
And there's probably thousands of different variations of 'healing potions' as well, each for their own special condition.
The term 'healing potion' is probably just broad a term for medicine in WoW, as I doubt any normal potion has god-powers to magically heal a wound before the eye. Multiple doses in a short span of time are potentially fatal. Heck, drink one when there's nothing to heal? Well you got a tumor a year later since the potion's properties were misused.

As for actual magic. Dunno, greatly accelerated cell regeneration and rejuvenation? The Light/Loa/Elune/whatever provides the materials. Telomeric regions of chromosomes are probably mended so there won't be premature aging.

Individuals capable of miracle-like healing are certainly exceedingly rare.
These have helped a lot, thank you :)

Indeed he is. The cunning developers even stated at last year's Blizzcon that he is a Priest, but also a special hero character, and that makes him unique from every other Priest.

So, basically, you are a Void Elf who has been studying the paths of the Light and the Void for centuries? Too bad, Anduin is much more special than you, and he is only 18 years old. Deal with it.

Pretty sure Void Elves have been a thing for less than a year lorewise, and therefore I haven’t been studying the void for centuries have I.

Even then it’s just my forum post character and I don’t see myself as my character unlike some.

I know it’s hard for you sometimes but try to keep it polite :)

Surely a Void Elf would be older than one year?

There is no greater form of politeness, than telling the truth bluntly, which I did. Anduin is much more special than any other Priest will ever be.

I almost wish they made Anduin a Paladin at some point as I'm sure you would find a way to cry about it anyway :P

oh and Golden is keeping posting about Anduin and "non-toxic" masculinity...that ain't good you know. People shouldn't attack or insult her over Anduin like that but she shouldn't always associate Anduin with feminist agenda...that's just bad you know. Also it will attract gay jokes and as a Blood Elf fan I know about them...I mean, the gay jokes pretty much shifted from Lor'themar to Anduin recently for a reason...especially after Lor'themar is getting a new model soon.

Void elves weren’t always void elves????? Are you serious???? Like I say lorewise they’ve only been around for what just less than a year?

And yes but that may Be so, but it was rather random the statement you Came out with wasn’t it? Like it was so irrelevant and disjointed from what I had said.

Plus we ALL know how much you worship Anduin it’s an actual obsession. You don’t need to tell us every five minutes.
