Dark Portal - Draenor Replacing Outland?

General
As the title suggests, has anyone heard whether or not reaching a certain level/questprogression/Xpac will modify the dark portal to permanently send you to draenor or is there some sort of "toggle"? Wonder if Blizzard has already decided how this will be handled since we will still need to go out(land) and get herbs etc from there to level proffs and so on.

That and farming the bloody raven lord...
The dark portal for wod will be in caverns of time wont it?
We will probably use a time portal. Garrosh will not use Dark Portal (I think) because he will go back to past and Dark Portal will send us to present which we can't catch up with Garrosh.
As I understand it from BlizzCon is that the dark portal will be replaced fro WoD and that the old Outland will be in Caverns of Time.
I personally feel that WoD entrance should be in COT because Outlands is still linked to our present - therefore as we are travelling alternate timeline then we should be going to COT for the next expansion.

OK that makes sense, it's a shame they aren't doing it the other way round though. Seems a shame to disrupt the current levelling curve but I guess these things happen. Cata changed all sorts of stuff.

I thought their explanation was quite reasonable.

Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff...

This is what I think is happening too.
The last information in this regard was shared at BlizzCon, where it was mentioned that in Warlords of Draenor we will use the Dark Portal to travel to Draenor and that we'll be able to go to Outland through the Caverns of Time.

Love it :D

But since then we heard that the plot is to prevent Garrosh building a Dark Portal on the other side to come and attack us... So how exactly does ours become connected to one that doesn't yet exist on past Draenor?!

Doesn't really cut it for me as a reason :\

I'm sure it'll all be clear when we get closer to release and more information about the expansion and the storyline is made available. We just need to be patient in the meantime!

Translation (or at least what i think):
A book for the lore about it will be released in the near future. (and yes, there is already a book in the making)

Sorry, but I am not very happy to be forced to buy a book to understand the lore ingame. Whole cataclysm was more of a bookaclysm. So i want to know if we will see why it happens ingame rather than be forced to read a book.
For a level 58 who's only been questing in Eastern Kingdoms it's going to be a bit of a pain to get there isn't it? Perhaps they'll put a portal in the capital cities to get to the Caverns Of Time.

We kind of have to presume a suitable storyline and mechanism will be put in place to get people to the caverns of time. Hopefully the portal to the dark portal will still take you to relevant dark portal.

I wasn't hinting at all at a book or anything like that. I was literally hinting at nothing other than the fact that we'll know more about Warlords as we near the release of the expansion (which is kind of a "D'oh" statement anyways" :P.

You want to know if we will see why we're going to Draenor in-game? Yes, you will. That was already explained by the developers at BlizzCon. There's a nice article you can read about it here:

It does suck greatly if we could lorewise no longer visit Outland. I know the events there are over, but it's a huge amount of lore and people we'd be cut off from. This is doubly so for roleplayers who in current time can't be there.

Rather than a portal in the Caverns of time I would really suggest to Blizzard to let the Ethereals handle transport to and from Outland now. They clearly have the technology and magic to arrange this sort of transport.
Another object in my bag? No thanks. But why not simply using the Theramore-Option: An NPC that can be spoken too that changes the phase: When you change the phase, you can go to Outland, the portal is green. When you change it again, the portal is Red and you can go to Draenor.

Indeed, though it doesn't make any sense to me. The other way around would seem far more logical. Draenor is in the past, Outland is in the present, so why would I use a time portal to travel to a place IN THE PRESENT and a portal that has no time bending capabilities that I know of suddenly leads to the past?
