Common Problems
- I receive the error message "Insert Expansion Disc".
- I downloaded Diablo II through the website but I am asked to insert a disc to finish the installation
This error occurs if you previously installed Diablo II (2000) from a disc and you have a registry entry still pointing to the old installation path. To resolve this problem
- Uninstall any previous Diablo II (2000) client
- Using the Windows regedit utility, delete the following registry entry
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Diablo II
- Download a new installer HERE
