Common Problems

  • I have a lot of lag in World of Warcraft.
  • High latency in WoW.

Before trying any of the following steps check the BlizzardCS Twitter and Realm Status page for any service interruptions.

  1. Reset your user interface to make sure your files and addons are not corrupted.
  2. Reset your network devices to make sure your router hasn't become flooded with data.
  3. Release and renew your IP and flush your DNS to resolve any network conflicts.
  4. Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.
  5. If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.
  6. Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.
Advanced Troubleshooting
  1. If you're using a VPN, try removing it.
  2. Disable any proxies that may interfere with the login module.
  3. Run a security scan to remove any viruses or malware infections.
  4. Update or temporarily uninstall any security programs, which may mistakenly identify the login module as a security threat.
  5. Old firmware on your modem and router can cause issues with complex game connections. Visit the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to apply firmware updates.
