Common Problems
There is something blocking the download of necessary game data. The Battle.net desktop application will try again automatically. If the download keeps failing, try the troubleshooting steps below.

Run the Battle.net Desktop App in Administrator Mode to address many installation, patching, networking, and start-up errors.

If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.

Reset your network devices to make sure your router hasn't become flooded with data.
