Insufficient Disk Space

Common Problems

  • It says my C: drive is full and I can't install the game
  • It won't let me change the install location
  • Not enough disk space when installing the game

Insufficient Disk Space errors happen either when a hard drive runs low on space, or when the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop Application is unable to read the hard drive due to a permission error. Try the following steps to resolve this error.

  1. A corrupted Spotlight Index may not show the correct amount of disk space remaining. Rebuild your spotlight index.
  2. Free up disk space on the hard drive that you are installing the application to.
  3. The Desktop Application may have trouble writing to an external hard drive. Install games to an internal hard drive.
  4. Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
  5. Try creating a new administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
