Common Problems
A permissions issue is preventing Battle.net desktop app from renaming a file during an update.
Troubleshooting
- Press Retry to attempt the update again. Most permissions issues are temporary.

Try closing background applications to resolve any software conflicts.

Configure your security software's exception list to allow Blizzard applications to run.
- Uninstall unused programs or files to free hard drive space and try again.

Delete the Battle.net Tools folder to automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
