Diablo II (2000) Character Not Saving Items or Experience
Common Problems
My Diablo II (2000) character isn't saving experience or items.If your Diablo® II (2000) character is not saving items or experience, the read-only flag may be enabled on your game files. To address this issue, follow the steps below.
Note: This information is for single player and open Battle.net characters only.
Windows
- Open this folder C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Diablo II
- Open the Diablo II folder.
- Locate your *.d2s character file. (Example: Conan.d2s).
- Right-click the *.d2s file and select Properties.
- Uncheck Read Only.
- Click OK and try the game again.
Mac
Mac OS 9
- Open the Diablo II game folder.
- Select the Save folder.
- Select File > Get Info.
- Uncheck Locked.
- Try the game again.
Mac OS X
- Open the Diablo II game folder.
- Select the Save folder.
- Select File > Show Info.
- Uncheck Locked.
- Click on the General Information choice bar.
- Select Privileges.
- Click Everyone.
- Select Read & Write.
- Click Apply and try the game again.
