The objective of Replenish the Reservoir is to collect new anima for your Covenant's Anima Reservoir. Depositing Anima in your Reservoir does not, and is not intended to, give you credit for quest progression.
Be sure to have inventory space when you are trying to complete this quest, as anima you receive from the Postmaster won't award progress on the quest.
