Common Problems

  • When I open the map I don't see the quests marked.
  • My map doesn't highlight where to complete my quests.

Dragonflight

Since the Dragonflight pre-patch, level-appropriate quests are now tracked automatically. To enable low-level quest tracking on the minimap, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the binoculars to the left of the zone name above your minimap
  2. Find Trivial Quests and make sure there is a check mark in the box
  3. To enable tracking for Warboards, find Track Warboards and check the box

For the Zone Map, your options for tracking will change based on your character's level and the level of content completed. If you have unlocked Dragonflight World Quests, you will have many more options than if you have not. The options for world quest tracking are all enabled automatically, but may be disabled by some AddOns.

To enable quest tracking on the zone map, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the magnifying glass
  2. Check any of the following options under Show if they are available on your mini map and would like to track them:
    • Quest Objectives
    • Dungeon Entrances
    • Pet Battles
    • Trivial Quests
    • Primary Profession World Quests
    • Secondary Profession World Quests
  3. Check any of the following options under World Quest Rewards if you would like to track them:
    • Resources
    • Profession Materials
    • Gold
    • Equipment
    • Reputation

WOW CLASSIC

In WoW Classic, a quest will automatically appear in the tracker only when you complete an objective towards the quest, and you have Automatic Quest Tracking enabled. To enable this option open the Main Menu (ESC), click on Interface and then on Display, and check Automatic Quest Tracking. In WoW Classic, you can only track up to 5 quests at a time, and quests will fade from the tracker if you aren’t actively working on them.
