Common Problems
- I'm trying to play GOG's Warcraft II on Battle.net but it doesn't work
The GOG.com version of Warcraft II contains two modes of play, and you will need to play the Classic Mode to be able to access Battle.net.
If you are playing in classic mode, with enhanced multiplayer, and are still unable to connect to Battle.net, use these troubleshooting steps to resolve it:
- If your connection attempt stops at key verification and kicks you back to the menu, you will need to apply your GOG.com Serial Key on the Warcraft II launcher with the Change CD Key option. If you need assistance with this process, GOG.com's support site can help.
- Check to see if your router has ports 6112-6119 (TCP and UDP) open. If you need assistance, PortForward.com is a useful third-party site that contains port forwarding walkthroughs for most router models.
If you are still unable to connect, please try the steps in our Connection Troubleshooting article.
