Did Not Receive Completion Credit for Quest - Free From the Hold
Common Problems
- Followed the NPC until it reached the objective but did not receive credit for the escort
- Escorted Gilthares Firebough back to Ratchet but my quest didn't update or fail once we were in Ratchet
There are no known bugs with this quest at this time.
Escort quests in Classic are extremely specific and require very strict adherence to the quest. In addition, while some of them will mark the quest as "Failed" if you do not meet all of the requirements, others will not.
To make sure that you meet the requirements of the quest, make sure all of the following are true:
- Everyone in your party is on the quest before you start the escort portion of the quest
- Your character should stay within 5 yards of the NPC at all times until you see the quest updated to complete
- The NPC must survive for the duration of the escort
- Your character must survive for the duration of the escort
