Common Problems

  • I recently purchased Diablo III and now it shows as starter and can't get past level 14
  • I used to play Diablo III but it says my account is Starter and can't access my level 60 characters

Your Diablo III account may be a Starter Edition for different reasons.

1.You recently purchased the game in the Blizzard Shop

Most Diablo III Starter Edition restrictions will remain in place until payment verification is fully complete. This may take up to 72 hours.

2. You logged in with the wrong Blizzard account

To verify this, check if your older, higher level characters are missing. If you can't see your old characters it means you logged in with the wrong email. Log out and log back in and make sure you log in with the correct Blizzard account.

3. There was a payment issue with your game upgrade

If you have characters above level 14 but you cannot play them and your account shows as Starter, it means there was a payment issue with your game upgrade order.
