Mouse Pointer Invisible

Common Problems
- The mouse cursor is missing in World of Warcraft
- None of the Blizzard games have a pointer that is working correctly
Select the game you are playing.
- Open the Battle.net App, select World of Warcraft on the left, then click
and select Show in Explorer.
- Open the World of Warcraft game folder.
- Open the _retail_ folder.
- Right-click Wow.exe and select Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Make sure Override high DPI scaling behavior is checked. Select Application from the dropdown list.
Note: If this option is missing, check if you have Windows updates available. - Click OK then rerun the game.
Windows 7, Windows 8.1
- Right-click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution.
- Click Make text and other items larger or smaller.
- Change the size to either Smaller or Medium. (Our games are not compatible with the Larger setting.)
- Select Apply.
- Restart your computer.
Windows 10
Any of these steps may resolve the issue.- Mouse Settings
- Press Windows Key-Q to open the search menu.
- Search: Ease of Access Mouse.
- Under the Pointer Size section, select the first or second option.
- Resolution Settings
- Right-click desktop and select Display Settings.
- Adjust the Change size of text... slider to the left.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try the following:
- Open the Battle.net Desktop App, click the World of Warcraft icon on the left, and select Show in Explorer from the Options menu
- Open the World of Warcraft game folder
- Open the _retail_ folder.
- Open the WTF folder.
- Open the Config.wtf file with the Notepad app.
- Add a line to the bottom with this text: SET gxCursor "0"
- Save and close the file.
- Open the Battle.net App, select StarCraft II on the left, then click
and select Show in Explorer.
- Open the StarCraft II game folder.
- Right-click StarCraft II.exe and select Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Make sure Override high DPI scaling behavior is checked. Select Application from the dropdown list.
Note: If this option is missing, check if you have Windows updates available. - Click OK then rerun the game.
Windows 7, Windows 8.1
- Right-click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution.
