- Stuck at "Connecting to Shop"
- Error: "The Shop is temporarily unavailable"
Blizzard Customer Support is unable to buy the Character Clone service on your behalf.
How to buy it
The Character Clone service is only available to characters created before the Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch (characters created before May 18, 2021).
You can only buy the Character Clone service in-game.
The Character Clone service is optional, and only needed if you want to play your character in both WoW Classic and Burning Crusade Classic.
To buy the service you must first activate one of the clones for free:
- Launch one of the game versions (WoW Classic or Burning Crusade Classic)
- Activate your clone for free on the character selection screen
- Exit the game
- Launch the other game version
Your other clone will ask you to pay for the activation service.
If you are stuck at "Connecting to Shop" it means your game client is missing an update. Shut down the game, and let the Battle.net App pick up the latest update. The shop should work again when you launch the game after the update.
If you receive the error "The Shop is temporarily unavailable" it means that your account is restricted from making purchases due to Parental Controls. Check our Parental Controls to learn more. To remove the Parental Controls, contact us.
If your payment fails, your character will not activate. Check our Solutions to Common Payment Issues article before you try again.
