You can use your Blizzard account's primary payment method, PayPal, or Blizzard Balance to purchase gems on the Heroes of the Storm shop. Gems are used to purchase in-game items such as heroes, skins, and mounts.

Note: While playing on the PTR, completing quests rewards you with gems that you can use to purchase items. Items purchased on the PTR do not carry over to your live account.

Bundles sold in the shop may include items you already purchased. If this happens, the game will reduce the price of the bundle for each item you own. The remaining items still receive the bundle discount.

All sales are final. We recommend you use the Try Now option before try a hero or skin before you buy it.

Common Payment Issues

If you experience errors or issues in the Heroes of the Storm shop, follow the steps below to resolve your issue.

  • Enter your password or your CVV number correctly, if prompted.
  • Make sure your primary payment method is valid.
  • Error 10200244 means your bank or payment provider declined the transaction. Contact your payment provider to resolve the issue.
  • If you prefer to use Blizzard Balance, make sure you have enough. It can take up to three days for recently loaded balance to be credited to your account.

Note: If you buy an item and the purchase fails, the currency you used will be reimbursed within 24 hours.
