Cannot Undelete Character - Error Name in Use

This error means another character with the same name already exists on your realm. There are two options to work around this issue:

• If the character with the same name belongs to you, you can delete the character that has the name. After the deleted character's name is no longer in use, you will be able to undelete your character as normal.
• If the active character that holds the name belongs to another player, then you must choose a new name for your deleted character: you will be given the option to rename, at no cost, during the undeletion process.
