If you are experiencing issues with Hearthstone stuck on the title screen or tavern doors, ensure that Hearthstone is closed on all platforms including any mobile devices before following the steps below.

Windows

  1. Make sure your computer meets all of the listed system requirements (World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch).
  2. Ensure you have your Blizzard account set up including name, country of residence and a security question.
  3. Delete the Hearthstone option files.
    1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run diaglogue
    2. Type %LocalAppData% into the Run field and click OK
    3. Open the Blizzard folder.
    4. Delete the Hearthstone folder.
  4. Try creating a new administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
  5. Update or temporarily uninstall any security programs, which may mistakenly identify the login module as a security threat.

Mac

  1. Make sure your computer meets all of the listed system requirements (World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch).
  2. Ensure you have your Blizzard account set up including name, country of residence and a security question.
  3. Delete the Hearthstone option files.
    1. Press CMD + Shift + G to open the Go to folder
    2. Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/Blizzard folder
      • If there is no Blizzard or Hearthstone folder, show hidden files and folders by pressing CMD + SHIFT + .
    3. Delete the Hearthstone folder.
  4. Try creating a new administrator account to resolve permissions issues.
  5. Update or temporarily uninstall any security programs, which may mistakenly identify the login module as a security threat.
Advanced Troubleshooting
  1. Make sure your game is up to date by selecting Check for Updates from the Options menu in the Blizzard app.
  2. Deleting the Battle.net cache folder can resolve problems with the logon module.
  3. Run the repair tool to repair any damaged game files.
  4. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the game.
